Reality of IIT Patna

Overall Rating
It is IIT that in itself sufficient reason for a student of choosing this college. Talking about my experience, I feel grateful to be in this college where apart from academics you will get sufficient opportunity for extracurricular activities. Best part about this college is its placement which is one of the best among all colleges of India.
 

Academics Rating
Firstly, you should qualify JEE advance, then depending on your rank you may get this college through JOSAA counseling. My course is Maths and Computing and I choose it because I have interest in Maths and also this branch has good placements. You must definitely try to get admission in this college where you will be living with best minds of country.
 

Faculty Rating
Our 14 faculty members are among top 2 percent researchers of the world. All faculty members are highly qualified, and all are Ph.D holders. Some facilities have done their graduation from foreign universities, and some have done their graduation from top IITs. But these faculties lack teaching skills, often students sleep in their lectures.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have Placement Cell in our college which helps students regarding placements. Median package of CSE is 33 LPA in our college.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels for 1st year are new therefore its room is in good condition, but each room is shared by 3 students. Hostel has badminton and football playground.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Although infrastructure is also amazing, but when compared to top 7 IITs, IIT Patna is far behind. It doesn't have swimming pools of now. But Institute has proper playgrounds for most of the sports and also has many cafes inside campus. For each branch there is separate building, for common events we have CLH and OAT.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at IIT Patna is amazing. Here our gymkhana organise events time to time to refresh students. There are many clubs for various activities and sports. Also, we have mainly three fests in our college, cultural fest ANWESHA, technical fest CESLESTA, sports fest INFINITO, it's fun to have part of these fests.

    Overall, IIT Patna is a great institute with amazing placement statistics and internships stats. The institute has state of the art infrastructure in Bihar.     My experience of IIT Patna has been great so far. Here we get world class faculties and infrastructures, most importantly the IIT community, i.e. being around the best minds of the nation. For my JEE advanced rank this was the college I was getting Computer Science in, so I took this college for my studies.     Firstly, talking about academics, yes, here at IIT Patna academics is tough. Academic curriculum is designed such that an average IITian can cope up with it. Professors are very good, helpful and highly qualified and have gone through a very rigorous selection process for being a faculty here. College life is pretty good.     According to me, I have a decent experience at IIT Patna, from highs to lows in a small span. The activities are sometime seems to be exaggerated but on the other hand, many times it is a fun. The lab reports firstly were headache but now it's interesting to make them and do practical. I have now experienced how exams are conducted at IIT.
