How I Felt at NIT Durgapur

Overall Rating
Firstly, NIT Durgapur is one of the prestigious colleges of India. Courses like CSE, Electrical, Electronic and Communication, Metallurgy and many more branches are there. For taking admission in this college, one should have to clear the JEE main examination with good rank. And also, in 12th 75+ percentages required for taking admission in this college. Lots of opportunities are here for achieving high peak in career.
 

Academics Rating
CSE branch is very chill, and placement is also very good. Highest package is around 60 LPA and average package is around 25 LPA for CSE students and ECE students also Electrical branch is also very good. Lots of companies visited here like BPCL for electrical mainly. Metallurgical engineering is also chill branch- 90% placement.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are very helpful and cooperative here. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is good, but you should have to study by self before semester exam. Faculty members are very educated, and they are providing project idea also. Some teachers are very strict for attendance.
 

Placement Rating
CDC organised placement every year. CDC members are very cooperative.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, parents are provided paid guest house, guest house is well maintained. Hostel is compulsory for every student either you are local or not. Infrastructure of Hostel as well as college is very great. Lots of beautiful background in nit Durgapur. Yes, recreation activities are provided to hostel resident.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of NIT Durgapur is very green and beautiful. Academic block is also there for students. Well maintained library is also there in our campus with great facilities like A.C. Two halls are there inside library for study purpose. There is big ground i.e., ground for sports like cricket, football, badminton.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is very good here and crowd is also quite good. Lots of clubs are there like dance club, spic macay, edc, glug, prakriti club and many more. Resctacy fest and recrave food fest is organised here and for sports inter hall is organised. In resctacy fest one famous celebs coming every year. Last year Vishal mishra came in NIT Durgapur.

    My overall Institute experience till now has been good. I chose this Institute as it was the best option which I was getting at the time of JOSAA counseling and also the ECE department of this Institute was very good. I don't think that there is any big difference between this Institute and others. However they are very strict when it comes to ragging.     Experienced around 2 years in NIT Durgapur, it was mixture of everything. Starting from taking part in the fests and events and then being a part of the organising committee and I felt extremely grateful. Apart from that, the professors in my department were extremely helpful and kind.     NIT DGP is a pretty old Institution with about 60 years of history. Overall, this has potential but roughly it offers a similar experience to those of older NITs, and things are laggard typical of government Institutions in general, particularly in West Bengal.
