Firstly, talking about academics, yes, here at IIT Patna academics is tough. Academic curriculum is designed such that an average IITian can cope up with it. Professors are very good, helpful and highly qualified and have gone through a very rigorous selection process for being a faculty here. College life is pretty good. There are three kinds of fests which happen in one year which are – Celesta (tech fest), Anwesha (Cultural fest), and Infinito (Sports fest). Apart from these fests, there is also Tedx talk, in which few famous personalities are invited to inspire the young minds.

I am in CSE branch. So, talking about entry to this course, you have to clear JEE Advanced examination, which is one of the toughest examinations of India, with a very good rank. For example, in 2023 closing rank for admission to CSE course for general category students was around 2.8k. So, one has prepared very hard to achieve this rank in the toughest exam.

Professors are very good, helpful and highly qualified and have gone through a very rigorous selection process for being a faculty here.14 faculty members from IITP are included in the list of the world's top 2% scientists prepared by Stanford University and published by Elsevier for the year 2022-23.

Since IIT Patna is a second generation IIT, established in 2008, many building like auditorium, Library, a few academic blocks etc. are under construction. But whatever academic blocks are there right now are well constructed. All classrooms are air conditioned. Labs are well equipped with all required experimental setups. There are enough Foodies shop like two Nescafe shops one in hostel area and another in academic area, Banjara here a variety is food is available and two canteens and one Food court. Talking about Sports facilities, there is sports complex and GYMKHANA also where music room, dance room, table tennis room, Badminton court is available. Outside gymkhana, there is basketball and volleyball court.
