My Life at PICT, Pune

Overall Rating
The college overall provides a very good learning experience, growth exposure and placement support and opportunities as well. It is accredited as A+ by NAAC and is second most popular college in Pune after COEP for engineering. You will also get to enjoy a good campus life here as well. However, the college is strict to its rules and takes serious actions for any malpractices.
 

Academics Rating
The college focuses on its academics seriously and tries to improve every time. If you have passed the HSC exam then you are eligible to apply here, however if you want to get admission here the only way is MHT CET exam. A very good score is needed in MHT CET is needed to get admission here like more than 98.5%. My motive in applying to this is to get good engineering knowledge and ace my career.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties in the college are very old in the teaching profession. Some of them have taught in some NIT or IIT as well. The faculties possess very high experience of 10 to 20 years of teaching. Many have done master's from reputed IITs or NITs. Their teaching is little modern and little old style. But they always give real life applications of everything and practical approach of teaching.
 

Placement Rating
Very good placements are provided by college from reputed companies with high package. In my batch of 2023 almost, all students got job including me too.
 

Hostel Rating
College has got separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostels are well maintained and strictly follow rules.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College infrastructure is decent but provides all the necessary facilities that a student requires. College campus is small. There is one building for all academic blocks. The college has Wi-Fi facilities everywhere. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and ACs in some too. More than sufficient labs and PCs are present. Library is well stocked and avail all the books.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good but can be better. Very few fests and extra-curricular are focused on college. Pulzion the main fest in college organized every year. However, hackathons are conducted on regular basis. College has got many clubs NSS, IEEE, etc. Sports are actively encouraged in college. However other engagement activities like social awareness campaigns, cleanliness drive, and tree plantation drive are organized by NSS and other clubs.

    PICT is one of the top engineering institutes. I got decent marks to be able to take admission in this prestigious institute with the topmost branch (Computer Engineering). I was preparing for JEE and JEE Advanced but wasn't able to crack it.     PICT college is the one of the best technology college in Maharashtra. In my college the placement is the best part. The college provides best faculty members to educate us.     So basically, I chose PICT just like others because of it being a reputed institute. And, to be very honest, the institute seems to be living up to its expectations as of now. I have been in this institute for more than a year now, and have seen 2 full blown placement seasons here. You get shocked seeing the pay packages which the visiting companies offer.
