B.Tech Insights in NIT

Overall Rating
Overall, I have had a good experience in the past 3 years. Although this college may not be the top choice, it is adequate for those with average JEE mains scores. If you have an average JEE Main score and want to enroll in a government recognized institution, this college may be the best option. Currently, I am in the ECE Branch, and I would say that this branch is doing pretty well academically. When looking at all aspects of college, I would say it's above average.
 

Academics Rating
As I am in the Electronics and Communication branch, it's pretty decent here when it comes to placement and the quality of teaching is also good for this branch. Both industrial and theoretical knowledge are offered. Our classes and labs are well-organized and equipped with the necessary equipment for experiments. For getting into this branch, you need to get a decent percentile in the JEE Mains.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here range from professors, assistant professors, and ad hoc faculty, and all facilities have PhD graduates. Our classes have a combination of board and smart (smart TV and projector) equipment, and we are taught using both methods. All facilities teach in English, so there are no language barriers here. (If you are considering it as south Indian). Overall faculty is above average.
 

Placement Rating
The college has a Placement Cell that assists students in finding placements, but it is not up to par and requires further improvement. It is known as training and placement cell here but it doesn't include any student body in it has only staff members and it's not easy to convey message to them.
 

Hostel Rating
The college has residential facilities it provides 4-seater rooms for 1st year students, 2-seater rooms for 2nd and 3rd year student and 1-seater room for 4th year B.Tech students. AC and coolers are not provided by them, and it is prohibited to bring them on your own. It's tough to endure the hot weather here
 

Infrastructure Rating
Since the campus was just built 4-5 years ago, the buildings are in good condition and there is greenery everywhere. Two academic blocks, one library, hostel blocks, gym, cricket ground, basketball court, badminton court, table tennis, and a few other sports facilities are available. There are separate labs for each department.
 

Campus Rating
Expect a campus life that is not too fascinating as the campus is still in the development stage and many things are being introduced. There are numerous clubs that are related to various activities (technical, music, dance, drama). Vulcanzy is a fest that encompasses both technical and cultural events. We do have different cultural and technical events which are held time to time on occasions.

    Currently I am in 2nd year ECE. I chose this course because of my interest in semiconductors. In NIT AP, the ECE branch is very active. Coming to institute, the infrastructure is good because it is built in modern era. The institute has vast campus area of 175 acres. My overall experience in institute is nice.     National Institute of Technology is one of the fastest growing NIT in India. It has all modern infrastructures and overall is a pretty decent institute for one's career. The reason I choose this institute is due to its infrastructure. It has latest hostel blocks and has very good facilities.     It is a pretty good college. You need to learn a lot on your own rather than just from lectures. There's fun stuff like clubs, technical, and cultural fests and they've added some new food stalls which is a nice improvement. Overall, it's a good place to be.     Overall Rating
    I started my B.Tech in 2020 in CSE branch. I chose CSE because I am passionate about app development and web development so, If anyone wants to get into any NIT you have to clear JEE mains exam and for CSE branch a student at least needs the percentile more than 98 for OBC, OC students and for SC, ST students, need above 85 percentile. Any student passionate about technology like web, app, data, etc. should choose CSE and the jobs in CSE is higher than other branches. I personally chose NIT AP b... Read Full Review

    My experience in my college is very good and I have collected many memories. Even though I had spent little time in college because of lockdown I enjoyed a lot in college when we stayed.
