GTU's VGEC at a glance

Overall Rating
GTU's campus is situated at Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. The GTU campus and VGEC campus are neighbors to each other. The some of the faculties here are experienced. In engineering, the faculties are not that much effective for teaching the syllabus but some of them are such good that they will teach until students understand the topics. The campus life here is average in my experience.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing Bachelor's of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Department and I am currently in 2nd year. The syllabus here is excellent but a bit old fashioned. The eligibility to enroll in this course is decided on the basis of merit list released by central counseling named ACPC. In Gujarat, if you have to take admission in any college you have to sit in counseling of ACPC. My motive for enrolling in this course is my curiosity in the subjects taught.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties are educated enough to teach students. All the faculties here had done masters in their respective fields. The head of departments here are all PhD. The teachers are literally good in explaining and teaching the concepts.
 

Placement Rating
The placements in our college are average as compared to other government Engineering colleges. The recruiting companies provide an average package of 5-6 lpa.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels here are very cheap and according to the price, the rooms are very good and spacious. The hostel fee is around 1265 per semester. It doesn't include the food but food is also cheap here. 1 full plate comes in around 60 rupees.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college was established in 2004 and is the one of the newest government Engineering College. The infrastructure is obviously new respective to other colleges. The campus area is around 4-5 acres and enough. Sometimes it feels like there is shortage of appropriate area for cultural and technical fests. The classrooms are new and big enough.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average here. The majority students here are from Ahmedabad. The campus life does not enjoy the hostel culture here. The campus is limited as compared to other colleges so there is no space for fests. The fest committee does no perform well and delay the programs.

    I have been studying in this institute from 2022. Firstly I chose this institute because of the low fees. All expensive facilities are at lower fees in this college. And all faculties are very friendly and helpful, I am not just saying this but seriously they are very friendly and have a higher level of knowledge.     My experience at VGEC (Chandkheda) was rewarding and unforgettable. I chose this college for many reasons, VGEC's commitment to quality education. Faculty is knowledgeable and experienced, and classes are designed to provide broad instruction in a variety of subjects.   • GTU'S VGEC at limelight
     

    Overall Rating
    GTU is a government University and Vishwakarma Government Engineering College comes under it. VGEC is one of the top 3 engineering colleges in Gujarat with high placement system. The campus life here is I would say average. The highest placement achieved is 21 LPA from EC department. The students coming here are mostly day scholars.... Read Full Review
