College and hostel review

Overall Rating
According to me, I have a decent experience at IIT Patna, from highs to lows in a small span. The activities are sometime seems to be exaggerated but on the other hand, many times it is a fun. The lab reports firstly were headache but now it's interesting to make them and do practical. I have now experienced how exams are conducted at IIT. There are various food stalls or canteen at the campus.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are focused very much at IIT Patna. A tough curriculum is followed. You have 2 labs a week from 2 to 5 and regular classes for 4 days. Rest 3 or 2 days there are no classes. Assignment is given, but not on a regular basis Mid semester and End semester papers are of good level followed by 2 quizzes. You have to be very attentive to pass the exams with good grades.
 

Faculty Rating
Some of the professors came in the top 2% list of the world. Have great knowledge in their respective fields. They are ready to help every student. Not all professors are up to the mark but some are very brilliant and are ready to help every student to solve their doubts. You can have a talk with each and every professor outside the class after it ends.
 

Placement Rating
Excellent placement cell. One of the highest packages provided by a 2nd gen IIT.
 

Hostel Rating
Decent hostel life.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has a great infrastructure. All buildings are newly made and more and more buildings are on work. A library of 7+ floors is being made in the campus behind the admin building. Followed by an auditorium of 1500+ capacity in front of the admin building followed by newly made classroom blocks. There is a fighter jet at the entrance.
 

Campus Rating
There are mainly 3 fests in the campus i.e. Infinito (the sports fest), Celesta (tech fest), and Anwesha (cultural fest) followed by a complete day session of Ted talks. Crowd is very good. Everyone is good at something or the other. There are various clubs at the campus of every kind you can think of like a photography club, a finance club, and so on. There are various engagement activities at almost every weekend.

    Overall, IIT Patna is a great institute with amazing placement statistics and internships stats. The institute has state of the art infrastructure in Bihar.     My experience of IIT Patna has been great so far. Here we get world class faculties and infrastructures, most importantly the IIT community, i.e. being around the best minds of the nation. For my JEE advanced rank this was the college I was getting Computer Science in, so I took this college for my studies.     Firstly, talking about academics, yes, here at IIT Patna academics is tough. Academic curriculum is designed such that an average IITian can cope up with it. Professors are very good, helpful and highly qualified and have gone through a very rigorous selection process for being a faculty here. College life is pretty good.
