IITs have no doubt created a hallmark in the Indian education. And IIT Patna being one of them, I'm highly satisfied with the overall college experience. I got into IITP after giving JEE Advanced and that has been my best decision so far. If you have interest in computer science or any core engineering subjects, then IIT Patna is for you. It has one or the very best cultural and social clubs which nourish the students all rounds being. It has top notch robotics and CS clubs, events and profs that help in keeping us in pace with the ever-evolving technology.

Academics are very rigorous here. We get holidays so that is good, but academics and marking is pretty strict here, but it does vary from course to course. For the B.Tech mechanical engineering course you need to JEE Advanced rank below 11k. You need to clear JEE mains and JEE advanced in order to qualify for the course. My motive and rolling in the mechanical engineering course are because of my love for robotics, machines, systems and how they are designed, prototypes and fabricated. All this finally made me choose this course in the one of the best of the engineering colleges of India.

Faculties are very competent in their respective subject. Their background is widespread, but their minimum qualifications are PhD and a postdoc at minimum. There one of the very best teachers in their field as IIT doesn't choose teachers who are under qualified. Their style of teaching is mostly through slides. They also provide notes and conduct tutorial classes to make us practice more problems and solve our doubts.

Placements in IIT Patna are the most attractive thing here as many companies offer very high packages (>25 Lacs). The Placement Cell coordinates all of the processes in a very efficient and seamless manner. Mostly people go into the tech industry as the salaries offered are hefty. The average package of this year's batch was 23 Lacs. Highest package offered was 86 Lacs.

Hostels are pretty okay. You don't get air conditioning in your room and there are three people assigned into one room.

The campus academy blocks all though doesn't boost a very beautiful architecture but has sufficiently good and digit structure with all the necessities like proper air conditioning, projector, smart screens, water coolers, etc. The library is one of the best places to gather information in the whole institute and does serves its purpose.

The role campus life is very good compared to any other Indian college. The crowd is British smart yet very chill. IIT Patna has one of the biggest fests B.Ed cultural or technical. It has various engagement talks with the previous alumni, researchers, guest lectures. They provide inside into the fourth coming generation.
