Life of AI.DS student at VIIT, Pune

Overall Rating
It has been four years at VIIT and my overall experience in AI.DS branch is quite better than I expected. I mean from curricular to extra-curricular and from sports to placements, everything is covered here. NAAC visited this year to college, and they have accredited college with A grade, which is very good achievement for any college. And even though AI.DS was a new course during my admission year, set very relevant curriculum. So, I am quite impressed by this college.
 

Academics Rating
Entry requirements for the course are very good score in MHT-CET exam or JEE exam because the cutoff is also very high. AIDS is a new branch and was firstly introduced in this college during my batch in 2020. The good thing about the course is that its requirements are increasing day by day as the world is constantly starting to use Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in their businesses. That is why I chose to enroll in this course.
 

Faculty Rating
Teaching staff is really good in terms of their teaching I would say. Because despite of the new technology, they managed to teach it in an interesting and practical way and not just the boring theory lectures. Teachers are very experienced in this profession, and I noticed that nearly all of them loved this profession by heart. They got patents on their name, IPR registered, and research paper published that as well is insane.
 

Placement Rating
Placement results are very good. Every year near about 250 companies visit to college and around 90% students get job. Placement is very active and also very strict but always helpful to students.
 

Hostel Rating
College does not have their own hostel. You can get PGs or hostel nearby college. And mess is also to be finding on your own.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus infrastructure is good, but I think it needs to be improved. Because you see the deficiency of space in college and everything quite compact. Five buildings are they're namely A, B, C, D, E. Each building has three floors. Lift facility is present in each of the five buildings. Each floor has got 3-4 labs, and each lab has nearly 30 computers. Wi-Fi is present everywhere in premises, but speed is slow.
 

Campus Rating
As I said, they not only look for your curricular but also encourage you to the other activities as well. Gandharva is the annual fest held every year in January. You will lots of hackathons and events and gatherings going on frequently in college. Clubs are very active and got support from teachers and authorities as well. The different clubs are EDC VIIT, MESA VIIT, TEDX VIIT, I2IC, and NSS VIIT.

    I got to know from my friend that VIIT is one of the topmost colleges in Maharashtra. As I was clearing the cutoff for B.Tech branch that I wanted, I immediately applied for admission through CAP rounds. College has a really good infrastructure.
