Ravenshaw University B.Com Review By Abdul Numan

Till now (2nd year) I never regretted the decision of choosing this university. Ravenshaw university is the top university in Odisha state, and it's had everything which a private university have, I can proudly say our university provides more than a private university can provide, I’m proud that I'm studying here which is of British era and may freedom fighters and great leaders have studied here.

See every student in Ravenshaw university is an intelligent student to get admission here student in their+2 examination should score above 90% if you are a general category and if ST and SC you should have more than 70%. Here course fee is very low to give a semester only ₹250 is required and for readmission ₹700 something.

Every teacher and professor here are well qualified almost every teaches have PhD degree and cleared many competitive examinations they also motivate us to crack those examination. Personally, my favorite teacher is Swarup sir he is a gold medalist in economics, he was teaching us Micro and Macroeconomics in our first and second semester and also gave good marks in examination in his class we enjoyed the most.

No, because I'm in second year pursuing B.Com degree so in third year we will hopefully get placement as I heard from my seniors if you score 8 CGPA overall you will easily get placement and many seniors from my hostel got it.

West hostel which I got is the best hostel in the campus which has its own garden, stage and every facility that students need. Here 180 students’ beds are available providing one bed, chair, table and a big almirah. Hostel provides Wi-Fi router, aqua guard refrigerator, TV hall where we watch cricket matches, benches in the garden, Induction is provided, neat and clean mess hall. Bathrooms are tills fitted and everyday there comes a sweeper for cleaning bathroom.

Actually, Ravenshaw university has unique and old British architecture style, which is red in color, so it's also called as Red Empire starting from V.C office till the end every building is in red color. Coming to infrastructure I can say it's the first college I have ever seen which has so much of area, every department has AC and lifts, seven pillar convocation hall has fantastic speakers and sitting area and also every hostel is clean proper hygiene is maintained here, department are big enough to hold 300 students for example commerce department.

We in Ravenshaw participates in each and every festivals, occasions and events, here juniors and seniors both have knowledge about event management and they are able to pull sponsors, apart from this in our university every year in sports week students of each department participate in food stalls everyone has their own stall for example Chicken Pakoda made by Mathematics department and Mojito and other drinks made by chemistry Department and in each year there are more than 3-4 functions on a month. Our Amphitheatre and Annex provides an exciting feel where every seat becomes full. On my first year there was my hostel annual function and then Inter hostel competition, New P.G annual function, Our own fresher’s party then 3rd year seniors farewell party, new hostel 60 years celebration etc.
