A Cold Place in the desert

Overall Rating
Firstly, I choose this college because it is in my home state. The overall environment of my college is very good and overwhelming. The academics, placements, sports etc. all are very good, and opportunities are there to take your career to new heights. There are some negative things about my college, but it overtakes all and is number 1 2nd tier IIT.
 

Academics Rating
We are offering all kind of course and selection of course and diversity of course is very good. Here all the branches are made to learn IML, DSA etc. which boost the confidence and placement chances. We can take minor in any branch and can take courses of MBA and entrepreneurship which is provided by very few IIT's. Here MedTech culture is growing extraordinary. So, a very good at academics.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is well qualified, and their teaching style is good. They encourage more and more interaction and support students in every manner. If any student is not comfortable in English language, then they give extra time to these students and arrange extra sessions. The faculties had done numerous works in different companies like Quant, INTEL, Google etc. and help students beyond their academics.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a dedicated Placement Cell called Career Development Cell which helps students to get their dream jobs. In fact, this cell only brings the companies to college whether it's for intern or placement.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes we have hostel with single AC room for all. They are well maintained and mostly new hostel which give a very good feeling. Our hostel includes Garden, a large play area, Gym, table tennis chair, a T.V room and study room as well. There are various tournaments which is inter-hostel which makes hostel Life great and bind us together.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As we are new IIT's. The building is new and well maintained. Most of the buildings are very new and regular infrastructure work is going on in the campus. The classroom has AC and also well clean and maintained. The sports ground and badminton court are fully new and very classy. We have squash, badminton, kabbadi, Table tennis, hockey etc and many more grounds. Overall, we have a Top-Class infrastructure in our college.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, we have a very good campus life in our college. The crowd is very good. The clubs of college are very active and they every time doing something or other in college. The fest of my college is absolutely lit. The students taking part in the college fest learn lot of things by organising fest. Moreover, every other day we can experience some activities going on in the college.

  • IIT Jodhpur Campus life is fun-rich

    My overall experience here is awesome. Compared to other second generation IITs it has better infrastructure and faculty-student bonding. Here we get single occupancy fully air-conditioned rooms from first year onwards, which brings you more effectiveness and productivity. Fests make your college life fun.     Don’t think IIT Jodhpur is not worthy as good as IIT Indore, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Dhanbad. Yes it is not as good as IIT Bombay or IIT Madras or IIT Delhi, But among new IIT’s it’s got good Infrastructure, Good College Life, Nice Hostels and Mess, And what every student searches for good placements as well.   • A great college for overall personality development along with academics

    Overall it's a very great college with an amazing campus spread across 850 acres. The thing I like the most about IITJ is that it focuses on your overall personality development apart from academics. Here you can explore different clubs such as astronomy, music, dance, drama, programming, robotics, entrepreneurship and what not!! You have a plethora of amazing opportunities available out there.     Overall Rating
    At first, when I was allotted this college I didn't feel very good to be honest. I was just glad that I got into an IIT. After coming to Jodhpur, I realised that not only the college campus but the city was great too. Most important of all is that the hostels were clean and the mess food was good. These two points I don't think you'll find in most of the colleges. The sports Complex is pretty well developed.
