Honest Review of MMMUT

Overall Rating
I selected this college in 2020 year. At that time the college placement was at peak. I got my preferred branch and alumni base of the college is excellent. The overall infrastructure of the college is average but according to your rank and fees, Madan Mohan Malaviya university of technology is a better choice for anyone comparing to any other private or government college of Uttar Pradesh.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in Bachelor's in Technology program in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. The eligibility for entry in bachelor's in technology is JEE mains. Lateral entry is also there in second year. There is separate counseling round and a spot round for admission in bachelor's in technology. My motive was only that I wanted to go in government college and in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is well educated and qualified enough. Though they are not much supportive but the quality of education they are providing is good. There are mainly guest faculties allotted under the professor who take classes on behalf of the professor. Marking scheme of the professor is quite okay that is not so lenient and not so tough. Overall faculty is good.
 

Placement Rating
Due to recession the placement of the university is not going well but in the past years, the placement scenarios were excellent and same we are expecting for upcoming years.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 5 girls hostel out of which 3 are old and 2 are new. Hostel has mess facility, water cooler and treatment plant, geysers. There can be 3 or 4 girls in room. There are 7 boys’ hostels with similar facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The entire department except computer science and information technology was constructed decades ago but is in good condition. This month, new academic block was inaugurated by honorable chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Campus has dispensary, indoor and outdoor stadium, helipad, multipurpose hall, cafeteria, Amul store, stationary shop, all the hostels have canteens.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is lavish green but not as large as mentioned on website. There are many annual fests like technical fest, cultural fest and robotics fest. There are many societies and club like dance club, music club, dramatics club, sport society, IEEE, entrepreneur cell, University innovation cell, etc.

    MMMUT Gorakhpur is better in many aspects. But some things need to be modified and updated. It provides good opportunities to every students.     I could not perform so well in JEE. Though, I had decent rank so I got admission in MMMUT. As my father is a civil engineer so I chose same to pursue. I was obviously disappointed with my JEE performance but I was surprised with the teachings of professional there. Though in first year, most of the teachers are guest faculty but from second year, you will be only taught by professors and I guarantee you they are best.     Facilities and infrastructure are good at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the seminar rooms of our department are also in pretty good condition. For admission, you need to appear for JEE Main exam and score good percentage to be eligible for the entrance exam of our university.... Read Full Review

  • Getting into CSE at MMMUT Gorakhpur Through JEE Main
     

    Overall Rating
    It is a state government Technical University that comes under UP govt. It is off course a wonderful college which has NIRF ranking of 84 in engineering category. My overall experience is good. I chose this college because of its placement. In the previous year one of my senior got placed in Google for 52 LPA. Average package of this University is 6.5 LPA and median package of CSE is almost 11.2 LPA. All the professors are very helpful. Everything in the campus goes on with the academic calendar...     The institute is among top 3 government colleges of Uttar Pradesh. I took admission in the year 2020. Alumni base is very strong. Every year we find seniors securing under top 100 in GATE.
