Silicon Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Asutosh Sahoo

I was aware of my college's academic performance and the placement that the college gets over the year. So, this made me choose this particular institute over other colleges. Except that I knew about the faculty and the teaching method is good, so I choose this college. First of all, we were having our induction program which was helpful for us to know about the College and their culture. Then there are many events were happening over the past years and now the events are also happening which is help a student to grow. Then there is many cultural events and fests which is best for the students to refresh the mind after a hectic schedule of academics.

Now I am pursuing my B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. The student is eligible by giving the JEE mains exam. Required criteria was changing over the years according to rank of the students. I was able to do this course as my uncle’s friend was a faculty in this college and he told me about this course. It is very helpful for the students because this is a course which gives opportunity to these students in both core field and it sectors. So, students from this branch choose their field according to their choice after their exploration in this branch.

The faculty members are very good. Obviously, our academic performance is good as the faculties’ members are very good. Our branch faculty members are well educated and many of them are graduated from IIT, NIT or many prestigious colleges like DU, KIIT etc. Our faculties and their way of teaching are very good as they have knowledge in various areas, and they have the experience in the particular domain. As they graduated from big Institutions, so they have the knowledge and experience. Except that many internals, exams, assignment, assessment, viva, lab test and many more practices are happening during the academics by our faculty members that it helps the students to know and grow as a student.

Yes, we have a placement cell named as Industry Interface Cell. It is the best cell in terms of placement in Odisha If not then it is in top three. It helps students to give jobs and many internships which is helpful to them.

Yes, we have residential facilities in our institution. We have separate hostels for boys and girls. We have the best infrastructure for the hostels and also have the good support staff and teachers to look after it. Many festivals happen in this hostel. Also, for food there is two canteens, one for veg and another for non-veg.

Some of the best infrastructure is there in our college campus. There is an ECE building and a CSE building also there is EEE building and for MSC students there is another building. Except that there is many Laboratories like physics, chemistry, emerging technology, basic electronics, mechanical lab, control system, digital electronics, microwave and many more. And the equipment is high-quality, and the laboratories have AC installed in every room. Besides that, one football ground, two basketball court, one volleyball court, one badminton court, and a function area are there in our campus. Besides that, auditorium and cinema theatre, meeting halls, placement cell auditorium, meeting places, internship halls etc. are there in our campus.

There are many clubs like robotics club, Entrepreneurship development club, emerging technology club, students club, cricket club, sports club, tech club, creative club, coding club etc. are there in our college. Many students enroll in many clubs which is ultimately helps the students to add many positives and skills in their CVS. Many fests like E-Fest, cultural fests, music fests, acting fests are happen during the time of this course. Besides academics many events are happening during free times and many hackathons, internship, management program is happening in this course duration. Also sports, music, acting, dancing beat boxing, rap, etc. are there and their respective clubs are their which will help a student to enjoy the college life and also teaching is given very much importance in this college. So be prepared to be a better version of you in Silicon.
