My overall experience at this college has been from mediocre to worse. The college facilities are nowhere to be seen but the faculty is very good and well equipped with PhD degrees. I chose this particular college because it has good connectivity as well as permanent campus and it is near to my home which is just a bonus. Others should opt for this college because of the same reasons as listed above. The college is in Himachal Pradesh yet it is near the border of Punjab so there are no mountains. Don't be disappointed once you come here.

There are three branches available for students at this institute - CSE, IT and ECE. I took ECE branch because it was what I got with my JEE rank. I think in this day and age every student should aim for computer science or information technology because the curriculum for those branches is easier compared to ECE. You have to give JEE mains paper in order to take admission in this institute.

The faculty for the majority is very good at teaching their respective subjects except for a few teachers. 75% of the faculty has PhD Degrees. They are from various backgrounds just like us students. The style of teaching varies a lot since they are from different backgrounds. I understand what some of the teachers are teaching but I don't have an idea what 2 of my teachers teach me, it's very difficult to follow along.

Yes, there is a Placement Cell at our institute, but it doesn't have a major impact on the placements of students yet. Most students get their placements based on their internship during 6th semester. The companies take students to enhance their skills and then offer them jobs once they finish their 4 years at the college. The highest package last year was 60 LPA which was off-campus and at Google. The highest placement on-campus was of 46.5 LPA at Amazon.

There are 3 hostels at our institute, 2 for boys and 1 mixed since the girls are very low. The bathrooms of the hostels are pretty clean most of the time. The hostel rooms accommodate 3 students. The mess food is from average too bad. It is not the worst hostel life, but it could be a lot better. We can play a lot of games like basketball, volleyball and table tennis, etc.

There is only one academic block at this institute. The campus includes three hostels, one academic block, an admin block and the director's residence. The first-year students have a special hostel and are locked away in one corner of the institute. Every building has water drinking and toilet facilities. All the classrooms are equipped with air conditioners and are clean. The academic block has three floors excluding the ground floor and there is a library on the third floor. The library doesn't have many books. It is mainly filled with books related to academics.

The institute's overall campus life is pretty average. The crowd includes mainly boys. The girls to boy’s ratio are horrendous. There are a total of 5 clubs at my institute. They include the coding club, photography club and sports club, etc. There are 2 fests at our institute, one which is the sports fest Yalgaar and the other the technical fest Meraki. Both of them are a fun time.
