The overall experience here is good but not that outstanding as other NITs. I chose this particular college because I had a keen interest in coding and programming, game development, etc. And this was the best option as per my rank for IT branch. Here in the campus the environment is very good, seniors are helpful and there is no ragging such things. As it is situated in Himachal Pradesh, nearby there are many tourist spots for vacations and transportation is also frequently available. Students who want CS IT type branches with a decent rank (25k-35k) in JEE can go for it.

Here currently there are 3 branches: - Computer Science, Information Technology, and Electronics and Communications. And each branch has 69 seats each year. And you should have your original documents such as 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, Caste certificate, JEE scorecard, Aadhar card etc. And u must have scored more than 75% in CBSE, or you must be in top 20%ile in other state boards. Motive of enrolling in this course was the good enough average package and permanent campus as other newly established IIIT's do not have their permanent campuses yet.

The faculty here is well and highly qualified from various top NITs and IITs. There have done PhD or M.Tech in their respective fields. All teachers here are very energetic and enthusiastic for teaching. And my personal favorite teacher is of programming Mr. Satish Kumar, what a wonderful teacher he is. The style of teaching is very modern and understandable.

Yes, we have a dedicated Placement Cell here which is headed by Mr. Naman Garg sir. It is really very helpful in acquiring jobs for students. Our institute also provides internship in 6th semester and placement cell also helps in that.

Yes, we have residential facilities in our campus. There are three hostels in college and a dedicated hostel is allotted for 1st year students. All the hostels are very newly established, and all essential facilities are available. Washrooms are very clean. Rooms are also good. Mess is also available with two options - non-veg or veg. Students have to mark their roll call before 9pm otherwise there will be fine.

In the campus there are two parts, one is the main campus and other is the transit house where facilities like gym, music room, guest rooms etc are provided. In the Main campus there are total 6 buildings, 3 hostels, 1 Administrative block, and 2 Academic blocks. Our classes are held in the academic block. Library is also available, but it is not that good.

Campus life here is average type because here study is more prioritised than other activities. Total 657 students are present on campus including all four years. There are clubs such as FORCE for coding, Eunoia is the literary club, Aawesh is the tech club. etc. Our cultural fest is MRIDANG in which dance performance, rock band night, dance, etc happens. And Technical fest is MERAKI which both are good enough. And sports fest YALGAAR is the main thing here. Other activities like motivational talks by Chairperson, director and guest lectures by industry experts are held.
