Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University B.Tech Review By Tulugu Jayanth

I am currently studying in my final year B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, which is the most celebrated branch of all time. My overall experience with the college a medium of pros and cons. positives as well as negatives. There will be drawbacks at any time for as much as in any college. But at the end of the day, I thoroughly enjoyed my college life. JNTUK didn't provide me only academics but taught valuable lessons upon how to lead life. Forever indebted to my college. I chose this college because it is one of the finest colleges in the state and suggest others to do the same if they think they could create some change.

I am from Computer Science Department. It consists of four years of journey into deep computer explorations. Firstly, three starts with student friendly languages such as C, C++; etc. and common subjects such as physics and chemistry are present in 1st year. Later from 2nd year there will be subjects like data base management systems, operating systems, etc. which will be slightly tougher, toughness increases with passing year, we have to learn to cope up with the pace. I have secured Rank 1443 in AP EAPCET to get computer science. Students whose rank is around 3000 can opt for computer science in my college. My motive for opting computer science is that I love computers. I really love to build some cool projects, and also it is one of the easiest branches and most popular branch, chances to get placed with highest package is really more.

During my four years in my college, I came across so many teachers. Honest to the point, not all teachers can wake your excitement up, they may have PhDs but only few can perform teaching as an absolute devotion. I came across some teachers such as our honorable principal and our HOD sir, they teach the lessons with absolute commitment, remaining teachers are good to better.

Yes, we do have Training and Placement Cell in our college, presently run by CSE professor. Specifically, how it works is, they will send the student data ton each company that is expected to come to our college. If the company is impressed with our resumes, it will arrive at a particular date which will be posted to use prior a week, so we would prepare for that particular company and crack it. That how the procedure goes, and I am pretty satisfied with that placement cell.

I should be very candid about this, because the student needs to be in that hostel for four years and I should not mislead anybody. Yes, we have residential facility for the students; there are 3 boys’ hostel and 2 girls' hostel. When we have to about mess food it is pretty good for that prices weekly four times non-veg is super cool, but night foods are somewhat not good, the hostel room is small, and four members need to accommodate in it. The rooms are cleaned daily, but the surroundings are not nice, even the buildings are old, bathrooms are not maintained properly, water supply I somewhat irregular, but all are temporary, you raise a complaint, they will fix it instantly.

The infrastructure in our college is good. Buildings are nicely maintained. My department is old is maintained properly, they keep on renovate the things which got perished, if there is any repair such as fan, will be done with instant speed, internet facility is also there in the department, and there are e-boards placed in each classroom, to make learning more excited and funnier.

Overall, I am satisfied with my college life. There are numerous reasons to opt my college: quality education, good placement record, hostel facility, good quality food, and fests too. Yes, there will be fests conducted each year by final year students of each year. We the computer science students conduct zeitgeist each year which has a numerous Hackathon, games, eatables, which will definitely make day. There will be games conducted throughout year, anyone interested can participate. There will also so many tasks and contests which will challenge you as well as educate you in all the ways possible.
