National Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Shivpuram Oraon

Overall experience of studying in this college is good. Institute campus is well maintained with greenery and flower. Hostel facilities are average not too much highly rated. I have selected Electrical Engineering in B.Tech with my own personal interests and preferences from family members. Admission was based on the score of JEE mains.

NIT Kurukshetra provides different courses like B.Tech, PhD, MBA, MCA, etc. I am currently enrolled in B.Tech so the requirement of admission in B.Tech course was on based of score in JEE mains, this is only the eligibility criteria for B.Tech program (B.Tech programs in NIT Kurukshetra include different branch like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, IT, and Production). Currently some new branches have been included.

Teaching faculties are well educated as they are professors or assistant professors they have studied from good Institute and they have good experience of teaching and there teaching style are really good, but you need some extra effort for learning and studying again from external sources. Sometimes professor teaches with smart board and projector to make students understand well.

With my current knowledge, there is no Placement Cell but there is a club which helps and teaches about placement and internships and startups. In the campus for campus drive placements many different companies are coming to grab students from different branch.

I will say hostel is average but it good to stay; Hostels are made available for students after taking admission in year, so there is no problem while getting hostels room. Hostel mess and meal are good but not as you expected like food you get in your home, but they are good not too bad but sometimes you don't get good meal.

Infrastructure is old design, but they are large there are different blocks and buildings for different branch and for different purpose like you will have separate building for: - lecture, meeting, program, academics, library, book bank, computer networking, labs, etc. All these have separate building and there is also a health center, guest room, all total 13 Hostel including boys' and girls' hostels (boys and girls are separate and far from each other).

Campus is literally large about approximately 300 acres and campus is full of greenery and plants and trees all around campus from starting to end you will see trees and greenery and for going anywhere in campus there is a road made to move around the campus with a sport ground and also badminton court and swimming pool. There are fests happening in college annually and they are really enjoyable. There are 2 major fests held per year 1. Techspardha 2. Confluence, there are different clubs and society where you can join according to your interest to gain knowledge and experience.
