Medi-Caps University is located in Rau, near Indore. Established in 2000, it is one the best private universities in the central India. The university is managed by the Medi-Caps charitable trust and it also accredited to National Board of Accreditations (NAAC). It is ranked 45th by the Times amongst best colleges in India.

I joined B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering. The eligibility criteria is very simple. One can get admission through their performance in JEE and Class XII from a recognised board. You can easily get admission if you score over 60% in PCM and overall 45% in class XII.

I joined this course because it's an emerging field nowadays and there are huge opportunities in this field. Plus, I choose Medi-Caps for Engineering because they have all the facilities and well maintained labs. And yes, course subjects are according to my expectations. And it's also helpful in getting the jobs.

There are good number faculties for the course. And there are overall more than 100 faculties in the college with an average teaching experience of 15 years. Most of the faculties hold a doctorate degree in their respective field. Hence, all the faculties in the college are high qualified and experienced. Yes, they do teach the subject very well.

The training and placement cell of the college is very supportive and is much better than most of the colleges in Indore. Several reputed companies such as Infosys, TCS, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, Cognizant and Samsung visit the campus for placement. The highest package provided in our batch was Rs. 12 LPA by Microsoft. The average package offered is Rs. 3.6 LPA. And more than 90% of the students received campus placement in my batch.

Hostel facility is provided by the college and it can accommodate up to 180 boys and 150 girls. And, both boys and girls hostel are separate. The total fees of the hostel is Rs. 36,000 per year. The food quality is fine and they serve different menus for North Indian and South Indian food to choose from. The hostel is protected 24/7 by the security guards and many other facilities are also available such as gym, sports complex and grounds etc.

The University campus is spread across 33 acres of land. The classrooms are well maintained. There's also a huge library where you can get all the subject books as well as other books. The university also has a huge auditorium and there are also well maintained laboratories for every course. There are also separate playgrounds for every sport and there's once canteen in the campus. The university also provides medical and emergency support within the campus.

The overall campus in Medi-Caps University is pretty good. There are clubs such as cultural club, sports club, literacy club and so on to choose from. And they focus on human growth and overall development of an individual. They apply good methods of learning and there's a great interaction between the students and faculties. The university organises a 3 days fest every year. The name of fest is Moonstone.
