Great place to study: Utkal

Overall Rating
This is a great Institute. This is the oldest and renowned university of Odisha. Every course in this university is affordable. Here, the study environment is good but little bit politics is here. Practical experience is gained, and industrial tour is also conducted. So many cultural fests are conducted.
 

Academics Rating
My course is integrated MCA which includes BCA and MCA. Requirements for this course are minimum 60% in twelfth and an entry level exam is also conducted whose questions are 10th and 11th level. I want to be a computer and technology specialist. Deep and practical computer knowledge is provided here. An industrial tour is also conducted in 3rd year and 5th year.
 

Faculty Rating
The teaching staff is very friendly and helpful. They all are very experienced and have a great knowledge in their field. They all are PhD holders and having doctorate degree. There is total 18 teaching faculties. 10 are permanent and 8 are contractual basis. They teach by using blackboard, projector, whiteboard and computers for programming.
 

Placement Rating
There is a Placement Cell in the university. It is very helpful for students. At the time of placement season a large number of local and national companies are coming. Companies like TCS, Deloitte, mind tree, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI, and Axis bank are coming to the campus.
 

Hostel Rating
There is residential facility in this university. Hostel life is enjoyable and having unity. If any problem arises then all students get together with the problem and solve it. Hostel facility is great. 2 students in one room and common bathrooms are available. Canteen is closed but university canteen is running.
 

Infrastructure Rating
A very big administrative building is available. Here all official activities are done. All activities regarding affiliated colleges done here. All other department buildings are just above average. A central Library is available, and an e-library is also available. A big stadium is here which is known as Biju Pattanaik stadium. A park is there which is known as mahatma Gandhi memorial Park.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is happy and enjoyable. Many fests are conducted here. Fests like festra (for freshers), evolve (annual function); farewell, Utkal Vasant, nuakhai fest, Adivasi fest, Utkal fest etc. are conducted every year. There are around 7-8 thousand students' study here. Clubs like art club, dance club, business club, and entrepreneurship club are here.

    Utkal University is definitely a good choice if one is passionate about clearing government exams or interested in Odisha Judicial Services.     My overall review is I would say this is a very old and reputed institute in Odisha and the environment is very good and the campus life is just awesome.     University Law College (ULC) is one of the Constituent Institutes under the oldest University of Odisha that is Utkal University.     Utkal University is the first and only University in odisha which got NAAC A+ rating. Campus is very beautiful, but maximum part is covered with trees. It focuses mainly on PG Courses.
