Amazing experience at NIT Raipur

Overall Rating
The best engineering college in the state after IIT Bhilai offers decent placement offers for all branches, low standards regarding maintenance, and limited hostel availability. Exposure to different clubs and committees is really very good and does its best part for all round personality development of a person.
 

Academics Rating
Admissions are done on the basis of JEE mains rank post counseling by JOSAA. I'm currently in Mechanical branch, healthy and competitive environment for better development over any field. Although core jobs are less, students are actively preparing for exams like GATE and CAT along with their college. Research facilities are comparatively lesser than other NITs.
 

Faculty Rating
Facilities are more than qualified to share their experience with everyone out there. Teaching methods are really good with use of modern-day technology and to keep ourselves up to date we also get assessments that help us evolve with the coming day’s technology. Almost every faculty got their Master's or post master's degree from an IIT.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a Placement Cell that helps in all round development of a person also it conducts mocks, aptitude test, along with PI and GD in order to prepare us for the upcoming placement sessions.
 

Hostel Rating
Here, we have 4 hostels for 1st year students with capacity of about 100 each and from 2nd year onwards for 2,3 and 4th year we have a common house that can accommodate about 850 students as hostel seats are limited, it is allocated on the basis of academic performance.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have 1 academic building for engineering section and 1 separate building for architecture department. The engineering college academic building is separated into various sections on the basis of disciplines offered classes are pretty good and equipped with modern day facilities such as projector and smart boards.
 

Campus Rating
There are many clubs and committees who conduct various events and fests throughout the year. Many contests are held too in which the winners are awarded with various gifts to encourage them mega events are held too like the cultural fest and tech fest that last for about 2-3 days each. Sports and fitness are also promoted and students get a chance to perform and represent the college in inter-NIT sports tournament.

    I joined this Institute in 2024. My branch is information technology. I joined this Institute because the average package of this branch is around 18.6 LPA CTC. I got Indian Institute of technology Patna mechanical engineering during JOSSA counseling but I applied for CSAB for this Institute.     Overall NIT RAIPUR is a good college if you are not getting any other NIT than this or any top branch in Private colleges. In case you are a general candidate and scored above 98%ile then you can go for its CSE or IT branch and this number get closed to around 96%ile for the Mining branch.     This is my 2nd year in this institute, and I must say that my decision to join this institute was absolutely right. Since I am from Chhattisgarh, it was not difficult for me to adjust in this environment and travelling was also very convenient. My 1st year in the institute was amazing.     National Institute of Technology is one of the oldest engineering institute of India which is located at the mid of Raipur city. It was initially Regional Engineering College of India. It is located just 2km away from Raipur junction which makes it more preferable. It has NIRF ranking of 71 in 2024.
