Accomplish Success at IIITG

Overall Rating
Overall, about the campus it is good. Though Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati is the recently established college, it is one of the fastest growing in terms of academics and placements. As we can see the placement stats in the official website the percentage placed is 92.59 for CSE and 80 for ECE till this date (18/09/2023) which is really good.
 

Academics Rating
The academic schedule and curriculum are pre-planned and executed accordingly without any remarks. The curriculum is updated every year by the DUPC (Departmental Undergraduate Program Committee). Members of the committee include faculty members and students chosen by each their respective batches. This helps the students to put forward their opinions and ideas about the curriculum.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty members are very friendly, and they are very experienced. Most of the faculty did their Ph.D in tier one college which makes them highly qualified. They support each and every student. They help in getting our placements. They guide us to various opportunities which are out of the academics which help us grow in the industry.
 

Placement Rating
The placements stats are really good.
 

Hostel Rating
The infrastructure of the hostel is really good. They assign two members to each room. They provide students with Wi-Fi facility.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college mainly contains academic block and the hostels. Student activity Centre and new hostels are still under construction and as the college is recently established its infrastructure is still under construction. Being in northeast has its own advantages. The fresh environment gives a refreshing feel which helps in maintaining the mental health stability of the students.
 

Campus Rating
The institute being tech college has relatively a smaller number of college fests and co-curricular activities than that of NITs and IITs, but this doesn't mean that there is no other thing than studies. There more than 10 clubs under Student Gymkhana Council. The clubs are broadly divided into technical and cultural. The technical club includes of technocrats, etc. and prashnatantra, portraiture etc. come under cultural. These clubs conduct activities regularly.

    I chose this institute as I have an interest in doing computer science and engineering from a well esteemed institute which motivated to take up this institute. my overall experience here has been good and the academics here are good and one should compromise on too much cultural fests and an entertaining environment prevailing here apart from this you also have an opportunities to play sports....     I have chosen this particular institute because the courses that are offered here are different than other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified and it is also a main reason. The placements in this college are good and this college is ranked in top 7 IIIT's. So I also suggest the students to join this college for their bright future and for enhancing the skills....     Overall the college is good for academic and placements, but the hostel life is not good. Here, the weather is very cold in the winter which is difficult to survive. The college has a sports club and the students can participate in different games like cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc. The fests that are organised in the college are also good....     Institution is having good infrastructure and also it is having discipline committee, anti ragging committee and ISDC committees for good discipline in this campus.
