Experience as a WIT student

Overall Rating
I chose WIT as they have all the facilities in the campus. A big library open for all the students who want to study in library and can issue any book he/she wants. They also have a canteen where students can chill with their friends whenever they wish to. They also have sports facilities including a ground for cricket, football ground, and volleyball court as well as a basketball court. They also have good security at the entrance.
 

Academics Rating
Walchand Institute of Technology provides different courses like CSE, IT, ENTC, ECE, Civil, and Mechanical. The entry requirements of departments are different according to cut offs of the score in MHT-CET exam and JEE. Also, as it a Jain minority college they have 51% seats reserved for Jain candidates. Students can choose the department according to their field of interest.
 

Faculty Rating
Each and every faculty teaching in Walchand Institute of Technology is highly qualified. Teaching pattern of each faculty depends on the basis of their subject and what is necessary for that. Some find smart board teaching better while some find blackboard teaching best. Every faculty has their own way of teaching.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, Walchand Institute of Technology has a Placement Cell. Many different companies visit our campus for recruitment. It helps a lot to students to get jobs in their dream companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have a hostel facility provided to us by the college. They have 3 hostels Hostel no. 1, 2, 3. They have 2 sharing as well as 3 sharing rooms. Also, we have 2 mess in our hostel campus. Hot water facility is also provided. Also drinking water is available 24 hours.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have two buildings named as civil mechanical building where all the classes for first year are held. The other building is the main building also known as library building where they have all the labs for practicals and classrooms for second, third as well as fourth year. They also have a workshop besides civil mechanical building for mechanical students.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is not much except academics. We have annual gathering called as ATHARVA. Also, we celebrate traditional day, mismatched day. Different quiz competitions, hackathons are also conducted. WITCHAR is also an event conducted by WIT. Engineer's day is also celebrated. We also have Ganesh utsav celebration.

    Walchand Institute of Technology is the best college in Solapur with NAAC grade of A+. Since I wanted to study in Solapur and not outside , therefore I chose this college.     It is Jain minority College. If you are Jain you will get admission with low score. There also privilege to SC, ST, and other caste. If your father's income is less than 8 lakhs College fees are approx. 65 thousand else you have to pay approx. 1 lakh 10 thousand. And for SC ST college fees is approx. 20 thousand.
