An Honest Review of my college

Overall Rating
I got into my college by appearing in the CUET entrance examination and scored 776/800, so got allotted Kamala Nehru College in Psychology honors course. I wanted to get in psychology and was really happy to know about it and the college as well. KNC is a fun, well-structured women's college. I love to go there every day almost. It teaches me a lot and has enhanced my personality throughout.
 

Academics Rating
I'm pursuing B.A. (Honors) Psychology and in second year. Now, according to the NEP, Delhi University takes in students on the basis of CUET cut off, so I got in by the same. Eligibility criteria was the scores of 4 subjects and one language, and it is all available on the site as well. Psychology is a growing discipline and is really intriguing. You may learn a lot about how our mind functions, how people are influenced by the society and many other individual and social processes.
 

Faculty Rating
Psychology department faculty is very professional. My experience till now has been great. One of my professors has been very inspiring and teaches so well not just the textbook but out if it as well. However, while understanding the system in the first semester, I found one of the professors of my department as of bullying nature and not supportive enough.
 

Placement Rating
Just recently there has been a Placement Drive in my college. And companies like EY, KPMG, etc. have recruited students of the 3rd year on the first day of the drive.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no hostel facilities in the college premises.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Kamala Nehru's library is one of the largest libraries in Delhi. It is a two floored library with air cooling. There are not many buildings in the college, but the campus is fairly large with a huge ground, basketball court, and nature square area with multiple classrooms. There's an area called as Chaupal to sit for the students. Campus is not as large as other colleges, though it's a pretty cute one. There's a Cafeteria near the Chaupal and canteen as well. There's nearby, common area for society practices, extra classes and fun time.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great at KNC!! I mean it's a part of DU which is famous for huge fests throughout the year. The most fun part of the year session is actually the Fest Season. People from all other DU colleges and other colleges as well, come and have fun on the campus. KNC keeps organising seasonal fests, winter carnival, workshops and events conducted by the societies. Also, trips keep coming as well!!

    Honestly I got this college because I messed up my preference list as every other NEP batch kid back in 2022. I thought it won’t be worth it and I’d regret it for the next three years. But not only this college is worthy but is so underrated. Even though the campus is not that big, probably smaller than most of our schools but this college is as good as any other DU College.     Kamala Nehru College is an excellent college. At first you might feel really weird about entering a girl’s college if you're used to a co-ed environment, but trust me it will be a good experience. I personally chose it because of the renowned faculty and of course it was near to my house. The auditorium, library and greenery are perfect here.... Read Full Review

    Kamala Nehru College is a part of the University of Delhi. It was established in the year 1964 as a government college for women. The institute offers degrees in the fields of humanities and commerce. My decision to get an admission into Kamala Nehru College for women was directed by the fact that I really wanted to be a part of DU, as it is known for excellence in education, in science, humanities as well as commerce.   • KMC college’s Chaupal is the highlight of our college

    When it comes to girls’ colleges people only talk about Gargi College or Lady Shri Ram College. Well, KNC is not far behind as like all colleges of Delhi, KNC too have its share of minuses and pluses. One issue with KNC is outsiders hardly know this college. When people search the web, they will only see all South Campus Colleges but not KNC. I will blame the substandard network of the alumni.
