IEM Kolkata - Education environment

Overall Rating
Overall, the experience is quite good in my college. I have basically chosen this college because the college has good ranking all over India. The college basically provides good placement opportunity to all the students. The college have updated syllabus. The college also provides scholarship and financial support to all deserving candidates.
 

Academics Rating
The course in which I am enrolled in is B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things and Cyber Security including Block Chain Technology). The basic requirement to take admission in the college is to have passed class 12th. If you want to take admission, then you need to give WBJEE exam.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty is highly qualified. Some have done their Ph.D and have more than 10 years of experience. Some of them are pursuing their Ph.D. The faculties are really very much supporting and helping in nature. The main teaching method includes showing a PPT and explaining things from the PPT.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell at our institute. Companies like Oracle, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, IBM visits our campus. The average package offered is around 5LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, College has hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has basically three buildings. One is known as ashram campus; one is known as gurukul building and the last one is management house. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Library is open 24x7 whole years. Lab is there for each department. In library desktop are also available in case you want to learn something online.
 

Campus Rating
As of now I am very much satisfied with the college. There are certain reasons but the most important is the discipline that the college teaches to us. There are various fests that happen throughout the year. There are many clubs which are run by students at our college. Some of them are IEM Coding Club and IEM E-Cell.

    IEM Kolkata is best for Engineering as it provides good placements. There is an AC, computer and projector in every classroom. In this college there is a basketball court and library.     Overall experience in the institution is impressive. 1st year was little bit difficult because of the new environment and lots of restrictions. I choose this particular institute on the basis of college review and their placement opportunities. Other can go for the same because at the end of the college all we want is placements....     Overall the college is good with good placements and faculty. All the facilities are provided with very efficient machinery. Ample of project and opportunities are provided too. Location is quite accessible from any part of the state and surrounding areas. Discipline is one the most appreciated things in our college.   • Why You Should Choose IEM

    I enrolled for B.Tech degree in IEM, salt lake campus in the year 2022. I gave WBJEE and according to my rank I got CSE (IoT) department. The main reason for choosing this college was its promising placement records and others should join for the very same reason.
