BBA Banking & Insurance at MSI

Overall Rating
Maharaja Surajmal Institute is according to many consultants and me the top college in IP university when it comes to BBA. I personally chose this college because it has a good placement record (highest 14 lakhs per annum) and it is very reputed even though it is a private college. It is better than going to DU south campus according to me. Although it is a little strict when it comes to attendance and bunking.
 

Academics Rating
BBA Banking & insurance according to me is very good. The syllabus is similar to general BBA but the specialization is in banking and insurance. You will need 12th class math for this course. Without math, you will not be able to clear IPU CET for BBA and will definitely not get MSI. This course could get you very good direct placement that is the main motive for choosing this. However, if you want to give CAT then there is no problem as well.
 

Faculty Rating
I have talked to the faculty and they are very friendly to fresher. They try to help you out in any way possible. They are much better than school teachers. You can ask them any questions at any time and they will not discourage you. They are also very friendly outside the classrooms. You can talk to them about things other than studies and they will help you.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell for management courses as well. If you have a good resume, you will get placed. The highest package was 14 lakhs and average is around 6 lakhs per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
There are separate hostels for boys and girls both but they are very old and unbearable in summers. You could get a PG at a much better rate and it would we more comfortable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is old. I think it has not been changed since the college was made. There is 1 canteen but it is just a shop but soon there will be a 2nd canteen. We have a little printout shop at the second gate. The football ground is pretty big they use it for fests and many other sports. The buildings are old brick styled and there is no AC in BBA building in classrooms.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life is great. The seniors organize different parties and trips throughout the year. The crowd is pretty chill. Clubs and society and very good for BBA students. We have entrepreneurship cell and ENACTUS and NCC (only for girls). The societies will give you a good recommendation for placements.

    Maharaja Surajmal Institute is a good for several programs like BBA, B.Com and B.Tech. Providing students great knowledge of their interested field and supporting environment. Infrastructure is decent as it was build around 25 years ago. You can't expect it to be like VIPS or IIIM but it is not that bad. Staff is pretty good at teaching their subjects.... Read Full Review
