My life at IIITG

Overall Rating
The institute with a 67-acre area covered has a very good ambience and provides good placements and interns in respective branches. It also provides hostel accommodation and mess facilities for boys and girls respectively. Institute mainly focus on the education with a slight inclined to sports and club activities.
 

Academics Rating
There are two branches in the college they are Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The batch strength of CSE will be around 180 and batch strength of ECE will be around 80, There will be a branch change option for the students after 1st year based on their respective CPIs.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in the institute is very well trained and well experienced in their respective fields. They are having good teaching skills, and they are very concerned about students’ education. They will guide through your B.Tech journey, many of them are IITians and some of them are teaching in IITs too.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we are having a Placement Cell. It helps the students to acquire jobs in the industry, recently some students got placed and the highest package is 1.2 Cr.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we are having hostel accommodation and mess accommodation we will be having 3 messes available currently 2 for boys and 1 for girls. Mess for the boys and girls are different. The hostel facilities for boys and girls are different.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We are having the academic block, faculty quarters, girls' hostel, town hall, auditorium and boys' hostel, Annexure 1 and Annexure 2 The three buildings boys' hostel, Annexure 1 and Annexure 2 are the boys' accommodation and SAC / Town hall being the club activity center and the Auditorium for events. The academic block will be for pure education purpose consisting of labs and library and lecture halls.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life will be well balanced with education, sports and fests. There are 2 fests Entropy and Yuvaan, Entropy being the technical fest and Yuvaan being the cultural fest. There is also a sports fest and there are some boards which consisting of some clubs and the boards are technical, cultural, sports and welfare which consists of respective clubs.

    I chose this institute as I have an interest in doing computer science and engineering from a well esteemed institute which motivated to take up this institute. my overall experience here has been good and the academics here are good and one should compromise on too much cultural fests and an entertaining environment prevailing here apart from this you also have an opportunities to play sports....     I have chosen this particular institute because the courses that are offered here are different than other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified and it is also a main reason. The placements in this college are good and this college is ranked in top 7 IIIT's. So I also suggest the students to join this college for their bright future and for enhancing the skills....     Overall the college is good for academic and placements, but the hostel life is not good. Here, the weather is very cold in the winter which is difficult to survive. The college has a sports club and the students can participate in different games like cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc. The fests that are organised in the college are also good....     Institution is having good infrastructure and also it is having discipline committee, anti ragging committee and ISDC committees for good discipline in this campus. Campus is free of pollution and nature outside of campus will also attract us. Campus is having good hospitality first aid service and also ambulance service available 24/7.... Read Full Review
