My overall experience is that the practical crop production is included in my course & it is the first experience for me. I'm not the farming background but in this university giving me opportunity to do - cultivate crop. NSS camp also organized by the university in the villages. In my course, RAWE program also held and in this program. This program gives the opportunity to interact with the farmers and conduct the survey of the given village. We are conducting the training by the farmers on the different agriculture topics. Many foreign students take admission in this university and for their, international hostel is available.

In my course, eight semesters are included. It means four-year course program. First three years, many subjects are included i.e., Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Agriculture Economics, Plant Physiology, Livestock Production, Statistics, Mathematics, English, Pathology, Entomology, Forestry, Extended, Microbiology, Food Science, Renewable energy, PFE, Vegetable Science, Horticulture, Floriculture. Last year, RAWE (Rural Agriculture Work Experience) and Industries and modules are included. To take the admission in this university, conduct the entrance test and those students who clear this test, eligible to take admission in this University of the particular college. Two counseling sessions are conduct in which 75% of position is offered to Haryana's residence and 25% are filled by ICAR (entrance test).

In my college, faculty members are very good, responsible and punctual to their work. They motivate the students and giving the guidelines about the future. They help student solve different problems. The style of the teaching is quite average although some are good. The teachers teach the students by the PPT slides. Many practical classes are held in the field. Few practical classes are held in the laboratory. Teachers are very well qualified and well educated.

Yes, there is a Placement Cell in HAU, but the package students get is quite less. Most of the students prepare for government exam like IBPS AFO, ADO, HDO, etc. to get a good salary.

Yes, residential facilities are available in the institute. The institute's hostel life is very different. The food is good in the hostel. The facilities we get are like study room, canteen, common room, bicycle stand is provided. Women's workers are clean the hostel. Many hostels are there - Gangotri hostel, Narmada hostel, international hostel, Aravali hostel, Farmer's hostel, Women's hostel, etc. In the hostel, three undergraduate students are live in one room and one postgraduate student live in one room. DJ night is conducted by the Directorate of the Student Welfare and recreational activities are also provided by the hostel residents. When farmers training is conducted by the institute then farmers stay in the kisan aashram. The training is organised by the Directorate of the Extension Education from time to time.

The campus of the academic blocks is very huge and clean. The university has four gates. The Gate no. 1 nearby Mahabeer Stadium, gate no. 2 nearby campus hospital, gate no.3near by Giri center and Gate no. 4 nearby Girl's hostel. Many facilities are there i.e., Nehru library, campus school, HAU faculty club, Indira Gandhi auditorium, Fletcher bhawan , Campus hospital, Farmer's hostel, HAU faculty house, ATM, grocery shop, Post office, bookstores, Canteen, Quarter for staff and faculty members, ATIC (Agriculture Technology Information Center), Giri center and many laboratories are there. Undergraduate, Postgraduate and doctoral programs are offered by the institute in various fields. The university provides the experimental farms to researchers, and it is very important for post graduate students for research.

The campus life is very good. Many facilities are provided by the institute. Many students go to Nehru library and this library is huge and many books are available for the students. They read books comfortably in library. Kisan mela is also organised in the rabi and kharif season and large number of farmers comes here. Many stalls are organized by the various colleges and information about latest seed or variety is provided. ATIC center and Ramdhan seed Farm - at these places, many farmers came here and purchase the seed and solve the various problems of the farmers about the field /crop relatives by the scientist. In Giri center, many games are organised by the teachers and students participate in this. Different club like dramatics and music club are organised to cultural activities. Mountaineering club also organised and provide the opportunity to the students to take part in this.
