In an overall review of GCE Tirunelveli, our college provides high quality education with an updated curriculum. The college faculty is well qualified and is happy to help and guide us. The college has good placement statistics and academic ratings. The laboratories and department blocks are well-equipped. The college also has good transportation and residential facilities.

The college admits its students through TNEA counseling, which is conducted based on their HSC marks. All departments have 60 seats, with exceptions of ECE and Mechanical departments having 120 seats each. The college also provides various PG courses and part-time UG courses. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is non-autonomous.

The faculty members are very much qualified and willing to teach their students. Most professors teach with patience and interest in their own way. Students can be free to speak and clear their queries anytime and they will be welcoming to us. In return, students are highly expected to be disciplined and well mannered.

In recent years, the college has consistently achieved impressive placement rates, with a significant increase in percentage of students securing job offers before graduation. The placement training begins with comprehensive training and skill development programs conducted by the placement cell. These programs equip students with the necessary soft skills, interview techniques, and industry-specific knowledge to excel in interviews and assessments. From the first semester itself, students are given training on skills including competitive programming, by providing membership for "skillrack.com", an online site offering coding challenges and interview preparation resources for students. The college conducts placement drives throughout the academic year, bringing top recruiters to campus. They also have been conducting webinars weekly to give an idea of how the professional world would be after their graduation.

The college currently has 6 hostels - Kaveri, Porunai, Vaigai and Manimutharu for men and Amaravathi and Bhavani for women. The rooms are furnished with steel cots, tables and chairs.
