Jamia Millia Islamia University Diploma in Engineering Review By Nehal Ahmad

I had passed my diploma in Civil Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2020 with first division. My overall experience was very cherishing. I enjoyed every day of my college life. I chose this university because it is a central university with top in NIRF ranking and had very experienced faculty members. It is highly recommended university for every student.

I had done engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia. This university number of courses in almost every discipline at UG and PG level. It recruits through CUET for various courses and JEE for engineering. It is located around residential area which helps in students to locate house on rents. Academics syllabus is very much updated and advance with helps in competing in growing and changing market.

Faculty is very experienced ranging from young to old. They support from start to end of the course. They always make student teacher at comfort and motivates us to overcome every challenge be it academic or with social life. I feel very blessed to be guided under them which had moulded me in a well-qualified engineering and a well-informed citizen too.

Placement was good too. From my batch around 40 students get placed in one or other company through on and off campus placement. Rest students opted to go for government jobs, and they also excelled there too. All this is possible just because our curriculum is very much industry oriented.

Hostel faculty is very much calm and friendly. I never heard any cases of ragging of misbehavior among the hostellers. They cater each and every one with utmost respect is it senior or junior. Jamia is expanding its number of beds and room in hostels with new building to accommodate more and more students every year.

Infrastructure is very much old school. A very large campus with two storey buildings that have proper greenery in each department. You feel very much connected to environment too. It includes various canteens and there is canteen dedicated to women only. There are two big libraries building with abundant books to be read.

My campus life was very memorable as I enjoyed every day with friends. There is no such thing as junior or senior everyone is of very much welcoming nature.

There is proper security to prevent intruders so that you are safe along with your belongings. Crowd with very blended with each other. Weekly events help to glue up with other students of varying culture and ethnicity. There are foreign students too from various Asian countries.
