Well first of all, it is an IIT. The life here is overall filled with joy with natural landscapes everywhere in the campus. The facilities provided such as developing any idea, innovating and presenting it and then promoting it, etc. is updated with the current world level. You may not find many things as per your greed but for your need, this college is more than enough. How can we not think of the package? Well, an average of 26 LPA also makes it special. Moreover, it teaches a balance between academics, skill development, hobbies pursuing and upholding culture and tradition very well which is unique in its part. Before having the final admission, I too was in doubt whether it will be best decision or not but now I can say freely that I do not regret at all. One more thing that makes it special is junior senior healthy interaction and juniors’ participation equally as seniors in almost all events. That's enough for rating it excellent and rest is your turn when you become a part of this institute.

The academics, I must say is neither light nor burden. It is very aptly designed as per the capacity and eligibility of student in his/her current position. Sometimes, some course may seem difficult but then relative grading comes to the rescue. That doesn't at all mean that you don't have to study, or you need to study very less. Do remember, back in subject is not far if you don't study it enough. Also, if you are lucky enough to change your branch then you have to pass in overload subjects who will be the subjects that your current branch had but your previous one hadn't but that won't be too much of a big deal. It offers the chance to change the branch twice i.e., in 1st semester and 2nd semester which is unique. Last but not the least, you should have at least 75% of attendance in every subject in a semester or you get a 'Z' grade.

Faculty members consist of professors and teaching assistant. Professors are well qualified from various renowned universities within India and across the world. The case here is not that ideal. You will get professors who will be very enthusiastic and make you understand until you don't. You will get professors who will be teaching to complete the syllabus. You will be getting professors who will teach so well and also whose teaching can't be understood. But the unique part is that you can approach them anytime during working hour freely in their office and discuss your doubts and any innovative ideas. Teaching assistants are generally M.Tech students in the institute who will be solving your tutorial sheets and make you understand the topic and any doubt clearly.

Yes, IIT (BHU) has a very active and efficient Placement Cell. The average package is around 26 LPA. You will get regular emails updating about anything related to placement program, workshop, preparation and the companies coming for hiring you. The opportunity is so much that you will literally be confused where to go.
From coding to core, the call has contact with many renowned companies of the world who regularly recruit students from here. Also, the placement cell collects ample opportunities for internship program which generally are paid and gains you money, knowledge and experience.

Hostels in IIT BHU may not meet your expectations. Some look too disappointing in pictures. To be honest they are not so modern and not even modern, but you will later realize that this was the best hostel life that I can have. In first year, they will keep you in Aryabhatta hostel in which three students will be allotted two students designed room. In the beginning you might feel disgusting but gradually you will develop such a bond that space won't play a major role.
In 2nd year, you will get a much better hostel.

Buildings and infrastructure in IIT (BHU) are totally designed as per Indian architecture. You will see separate buildings dedicated for each department where you will find faculty members of that department. It has a central library which do consists of almost every book you require throughout out your journey in IIT. It also consists of a Student Activity Centre where you will find room for almost 20 indoor games well equipped with modern equipment and in best quality. The institute consists of three giant playgrounds where you can see and play almost every outdoor game known in the country. You will also have access to the swimming pool and learn and develop your swimming skills. Students also have free access to student health care complex for any discomfort. The campus also has a proctor office which looks after all the difficulties that can take place in student’s daily life.

Campus life of IIT BHU is simply amazing. You will be enjoying academic life, cultural life, traditional life as well as modern life. The institute has many cells including Student Alumni Interaction Cell (SAIC), Research and Development Cell, Placement Cell, etc. where you can be a pivotal member. Besides, the institute has mainly six councils including Social Council, Media Council, Science and Technology Council, Cultural Council, etc. each of which has many clubs related to everything you can think of where you can a part, learn new things, teach new things and enjoy yourself with others. The institute has SAKHA council for the help of students. It also has a student parliament for the link between the institute and students. The college organises many events annually and mainly three fests namely Spardha (Sports Fest), Technex (Technology Fest) and KashiYatra (Cultural Fest). Overall, campus life is amazing.
