In an overall sense, IIT Hyderabad is one of the best 2nd generations IITs and has the highest average package (20 LPA) compared to other IITs and IIT Hyderabad developing at a significant rate. It has best facilities for learning and research, really good faculty members, has so many great clubs to take a step up in your learning. In the end, I would say IIT Hyderabad is worth getting admitted to.

The academics are really good here, the courses are well updated and changes every year if required for us to a new upcoming technology. Each semester is divided into 6 segments for great continuous learning. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and excellent quality of teaching in the academic side. The non-core courses are not too difficult and not so easy, but the core courses are really easy compared to non-Core courses. The pass percentage is really high and almost no chance of getting backlog. For now, very few different department students have classes in same building, but they are almost done constructing the rest of the departmental building for academics.

The faculty members are almost all are really well qualified with Ph.D.s from well reputed institutions across the globe. The grading system is well made such that grades are not only calculated on basis of one or two exams, rather, it is distributed on various quizzes, assignments and also presentations in few courses to emphasize continuous learning.

The placements are based of student's academic records, course curriculum and aquired skills which are a deciding factor of how good he/she would compete at an interview. Top recruiting companies such as Oracle, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, HPCL, ISRO and many more. Students generally take up internships from any year and sit for placements from the end of 3rd year. Top companies recruit graduates with a median salary of 17 to 20 LPA and more than 85% of the students get placed every year.

Until now there are 16 hostel blocks where 12 blocks are for boys and the rest for the girls. The room is not that spacious, but it is well ventilated and has drinking water in available on almost each and every floor. They already provide you a cot, a chair, a study table, a cupboard and multiple plug points. The hostels have inbuilt radiant cooling system which in switched on during summer to beat the heat.

The quality of facilities in hostel is not that great as well as not that bad. Few freshers get double-shared bedrooms and then shifted to single bedrooms for the rest of the year while the rest directly gets single bedrooms from the start itself. The quality of water is not great as of now, hoping for it to get resolved soon in the hostel blocks. The infrastructure in public buildings such as the academic block is excellent and excellent quality of facilities, perfect for studying environment.

The campus life is great in IIT Hyderabad. There are multiple sports grounds with coaching included. The campus is always brimming with continuous college events with few monthly events. The mess contains many different varieties of food which is a good thing and are also Hygienic and an acceptable quality of food. But the non - veg food I not that great. The different non veg food items almost tastes the same.
