The college is really amazing. It’s a no 1 NIT in India; no doubt all facilities are very good here. For the first-year students as up to now the mess food is really nice, its tastes good. There are 3 boys’ hostel and one girl’s hostel for first year. In a single room three students are living. And the floor has common bathrooms. The college also has market various fast-food stalls and all the necessary stuffs stall. The beauty of the campus is really nice. The first-year students will have a weeklong orientation program it’s too much fun. So come and enjoy in the campus.

In the first year you will basically be taught by Ph.D scholars, they are really too cool, they will just tell you which subjects are important and where to give more time. They will simply give their class PPTs and notes so that you don’t have to run behind the reference. The exams are quite tough but not that tough that you will find hard to pass. So be chill come and enjoy in the campus.

Mostly in the first year you will not meet the professor generally, mostly the Ph.D scholars will teach you but believe me the professors are not that strict. They are very humble and supportive. But some of the professors are really very strict they will rusticate you if they find you while doing any indiscipline work so be careful.

The placement is really good as a no 1 NIT you can come without any hesitation if you are joining B.Tech only for placement. Even in 2023, the median package in CSE is 29LPA.

In hostel 3 people in a room is there with Wi-Fi facility, I will not say that it is a free Wi-Fi because you have to pay hostel fee every semester. And the washrooms are not that good it’s general, there is chilled drinking water facility all the time.

As an old NIT, you will find many old infrastructures. But many new buildings are their like ORION, OJAS etc. There are 2 academic building, in first year you will have classes in LOGOS the lecture hall complexes no ACs there but it's cool enough inside. There is a clock tower in the campus and it’s like a signature building for NIT.

The campus life is just awesome and one thing I will say that if you are from North India then you will learn speaking English very well. The beauty of the campus is really awesome. You will find peacocks roaming here and there inside the campus. 4 fests are generally celebrated here so you are going to enjoy too much.
