IIT ISM Dhanbad Review

Overall Rating
One of the oldest institutes, where I am enjoying the days. First thing is here the whole campus is green where we can relief our tiredness due to class workload. Campus has many sports where we can build up our strength and power. In campus there is many clubs like music, dramatics, debating clubs and many where we can explore other things rather than study. That's why I have chosen it for my exposure also, so I would like to promote it as you will get a wonderful exposure which is necessary thing in our life.
 

Academics Rating
Course is Integrated Master of Technology in Mathematics and computing; entry requirements and eligibility is qualified JEE advanced which is known as one of the very tough examinations in that many students enrolled but a few of them getting this one opportunity to get in. My motive is that I will be data scientist in future by this course which I have chosen.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is good, but background and my distance from blackboard is too much which is my failure because I got back bench from there blackboard is not visible clearly even use of glasses. Number of students in class is about more in a class which may be failure point. And also, blackboard should be replaced by digital board it can overcome all these problems. Overall experience is not more than medium.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have senior mentors and a placement club who help in joining internship program which is necessary in placement.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is old but satisfying, first thing is our aim is overall growth which is given us at playground and in classes and in labs. In hostel a room can be shared with 2 persons. Infrastructure is good. Hostel life is very good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus academic building is good in infrastructure and color is red everywhere in campus. Here is a heritage building which is very old as it was started in 1926. All going activities and labs are in good condition for taking knowledge and experience. At IIT ISM Dhanbad plants greenery is attractive and for exploring and a chill walk.
 

Campus Rating
Life is in full of enjoy, joy in crowd with friends, in clubs we gain new energy which is need for life. Fest is curious, a three days concetto program will be holding on in which we have many activities. I have to join as much activities, but time is in limit because every activity is likely to connect with my life.

    First of all it should be remembered that it's ISM before IIT. Overall experience is better. As a South Indian I felt difficult to connect with Hindi language and also to the food as most of our diet is filled with potato. The experience about studies is good.     Generally all know Indian Institute Technology is the best colleges in India which we get after clearing JEE advanced exam. Indian Institute of Technology which is also called as Indian School of Mines is a better college for future and has good scope in the future. The course which I chose that is mathematics and computing is a better course and has job and other scopes in upcoming generations.... Read Full Review

    Up till now my overall experience is great. You get a lot of opportunities to explore. You can join any of the clubs that you are interested in and could grow in that field. The most fascinating thing I found are the placements, coding culture, and the sports facilities provided to the students, which was the main factor for me to take admission in this institute....     The campus of my collage is very beautiful. It has a lot of facilities and the canteens are just amazing. The faculty and the study model type are also very interesting and fabulous.     There is a perception that IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is a new institute, but reality is the polar opposite. It's the third oldest universities amongst all IITs; hence, it does not have any issues that the new IITs face. The institute has clubs for *everything* that you would ever want! These are well established old clubs that win awards every year!
