Overall Rating
My experience is very good in the university. Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is the number 1 state Agricultural University in West Bengal. Its ICAR ranking is 16. Almost 90% students placed in various companies. I belong to a farmer's family. I am interested in agricultural field. I want to research on agriculture in future. So, I have chosen it.
 

Academics Rating
Agricultural Engineering is the course includes studies of new technologies in farm machinery like tractor, harvester, power tiller, etc and irrigation and food process engineering. Students have to give West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination to get admission in the course. Our motive is to develop technology in agriculture sector.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty professors are very good, helpful and friendly. They are qualified from various IITs and renowned universities across India. Teaching style is excellent. One problem is there that is a smaller number of professors in soil and water engineering department. Total 21 professors teaching this course.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell in the university. It helps students to acquire jobs in many fertilizer and tractor industries.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have residential facilities in our university. Hostel life is very enjoyable. Food quality is very good in low price. Infrastructure is excellent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is excellent. Central gymnasium is available. There are 3 faculty building in the university i.e., Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering. One educational museum is also available. Directorate of extension education building is also there. Tennis courts are available in the hostels.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is excellent. Many cultural programs held every year i.e., Freshers, Social, Farewell programs, etc. Every year cricket, football, volleyball tournaments are held. Total 1500 students are studying in the university in UG, PG and PhD programs. Educational tours are also held by the university.

    This college provides agriculture, horticulture and engineering facility for B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD. If you are an agriculture aspirant then stop searching, you came to the right place. To take admission into this college depends on your 10th and 12th marks. My overall experience was good, as a final year student I can say studying in this premium institution is totally worth it....     For your kind information, BCKV have 3 campuses. One in Mohonpur, others are in Burdwan & Susunia (Bankura). I was the student of Susunia campus from 2019 to 2023. So I'm reviewing that campus. Overall experience is good in terms of campus life, refreshment, etc. I choose this college because it is a government college with the tag of BCKV. That's the biggest & only reason I think anyone can choose this college.... Read Full Review

    First of all it is the most premium state agriculture university in West Bengal with ICAR accreditation. The most beautiful thing is the student-teacher and senior -junior relationship in this college. The college provides facilities for higher education as well as different government and private sector jobs. The clean and green campus of this college easily attracts the students....
