Osmania University B.Tech Review By Musapur Manasa

Osmania university is one of the top most university. The university life is quite different from normal college life. There are lots of professors in the college. Here we have a lot of time to do extracurricular activities such as learning any coding languages, or preparing for competitive exams. The college here does not stress only on academics and provide abundant time to prepare for other examinations.

The college has many courses such as ECE, CSE, Civil, Mechanical, EEE etc. Through MCET you can do bachelor in any of the courses mentioned. Currently I am pursuing BE in Electronic communication engineering. After completion of this course you can work in software side or technical side. Students who are interested to create a real time projects which would help the developing of technology can join this course.

There are lots of professors who are friendly. They are skilled and they teach us through many ways so that we understand critical topics. Also they don't hesitate clearing our doubts. We have been taught a lot of things both academics as well as non academics from them and they motivate us and boost our morale in every activity.

Yes We are having lot of placements staring from 3rd year only and the highest package is 24LPA in ECE branch. Our college provides non technical subjects such as C, Python etc. to students and also facilitate internship, trainings which are helpful in getting jobs

There are separate hostel for girls and boys. Our hostel is like home place because of its infrastructure, homely food and proper sanitation. Every day the workers mop all our rooms, 24/7 ambulance facilities, Wi-Fi facility, 2 study halls to study, a TV hall and a computer hall. The hostel is surrounded by lots of trees which make us feel like home town.

In this university every branch has a special block and our ECE block contains good infrastructure such as new projectors and advance kits in laboratory. There are 2 libraries i.e., is Ambedkar library and Jubilee Engineering library where we study standard books and the reference books suggested by professors. We also have 2 auditoriums i.e., Tagore Auditorium and Special Auditorium for our ECE branch to conduct all events in the university. To maintain physical fitness there are 3 grounds, gyms, swimming pool and recently The University has started a civil services academy where they train the students for IAS, IPS etc.,

This college provides a lot of non academic activities through fests such as Akruthi were one can learn new skills through workshop conducted in the fest. There are many clubs like Emc2, IEEE, GDSE, SAE which enhances our presentation and management skills. It conducts many programs and events to develop the student personality such as NSS which explores the social development through our activities and many people participate enthusiastically. I believe that, the students who join this university will never regret as it teaches you a lot in terms of our career.
