NIT Campus Review

Overall Rating
As this is one of the top NITs of the country, so overall exposure and experience is good in this college, at first when we entered the college, the campus looked so nice and pleasing due to the weather out here and the most important factor of the campus- the greenery and the breeze. Just the area of the college is less than what we expected.
 

Academics Rating
So here in this college you get the different courses in different programs, there are 8 engineering courses out here and many M.Tech and Ph.D courses too. For the eligibility, you just need to clear the eligibility criteria of JOSAA counseling and need to clear the JEE mains exam with a good percentile which is around 95-100 percentiles.
 

Faculty Rating
As this is one of the best colleges of India and comes under top 10 NITs of India, the faculty is quite experienced and talented. Every teacher here comes after completing their Ph.D degree from renowned colleges of India. If we say their birthplace, almost every teacher is from Bengal. Teachers mainly teaches through PPTs.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have CDC here in NIT Durgapur called Career Development Cell and yes obviously it helps a lot in bringing up the companies in college for the students eventually helps in placements of the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are more than dozen hostels in this college separate for girls and boys and also separate for different years. The hostels facilities are not that much good as the infrastructure is not that good and especially the mess food is not good here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are different buildings based on different works such as two academic blocks one new auditorium and one student activity center. Also, there are two large grounds, but the maintenance is not good, and sports opportunity is quite less in this college. Academic blocks are well maintained with good infrastructure such as AC and projectors.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, my campus life is going quite well. but with lots of ups and down due to my department as here different departments have different chill meter and due to my mechanical department, the situation is quite hectic for me sometimes, the teachers are not so chill in my department due to which the pressure imposed on students is quite hectic for us.

    Firstly, NIT Durgapur is one of the prestigious colleges of India. Courses like CSE, Electrical, Electronic and Communication, Metallurgy and many more branches are there. For taking admission in this college, one should have to clear the JEE main examination with good rank. And also, in 12th 75+ percentages required for taking admission in this college.     Overall Rating
    The NIT is situated in not very distant part of the city, but it will seem like it because the college is spread over 187 acres. I have been on campus for more than 1.5 years and there are still some places that I haven't visited in the campus, well that another topic. The overall college is more than 7.2/10. The locals of Durgapur are nice and have great character, but some shopkeepers will try to scam you in the campus I don't know whether it is they have to or they just want to and that's the...     I would rate this institute 4 out of 5. As the institute has a good infrastructure, good research culture and a better campus life than most of the colleges. There are several facilities are offered by the colleges, later on I have mentioned it. But talking about the placement I think there are some NITs which provide better placement record than it at the same level.   • Nit durgapur is a good campus and hostel facility

    I knew that the biotechnology department is very good in NIT Durgapur, so I wanted to choose NIT Durgapur. In this college hostel facility are also good. Placement are great in this college and a lot of companies and organization visit for campus placement. There are 14 hostels, 10 for boys and 4 for girls. Hostels are very good in this Institute....
