Overall Rating
The Ghani Khan Choudhary Institute of Engineering and Technology is a CFTI under MoE Govt of India. It is one of the great technical institutes in West Bengal as well as in India. The college is adjacent to the Malda Town with well connected transportation services. It offers courses like B.Tech and Diploma. The faculties are pretty good in every department; there is a hostel facility and other amenities like gym, canteen, playing field, etc.
 

Academics Rating
The college offers B.Tech program on Electrical, Mechanical, and Food Technology. It also offers Diploma courses on Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Computer Science. The main process of enrollment in B.Tech program is through the WBJEE, but it also accepts students from different states as well as from Bengal through JEE Mains examination. B.Tech courses are offered to 10+2 passed students or students with equivalent qualification.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are excellent in this college. There are many assistant professors in this college and also there are Associate professors in every department. Most of the professors are Master’s and Doctorate degree holders from IITs and NITs. But which differentiates them from other colleges is that they are always more than happy to help the students with anything that is possible. The technical assistants are also pretty good.
 

Placement Rating
The placement scenario in this college is pretty average for a CFTI. There are many companies like Tech Mahindra, Pie Infocom, Byjus, etc. which offers packages to students. There is a slight decline of placement from core companies but hopefully it will be improved in future.
 

Hostel Rating
There are two hostels in this college. The hostels are named after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda respectively. The hostel offers 24×7 running water and electricity with few to no power cut cases. There is a total safety for students by appointing guards in either ends of the hostels. The rooms are also well designed and the hygiene for the washrooms is maintained in an attentive manner.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It has four academic blocks for the classes and lab work to be conducted. Each block has its own auditorium and is surveillance by CCTV entirely. There is also an academic block for official works. Like any other CFTI college it provides the students with the facilities like library, badminton court, volleyball court, cricket ground, football ground, and gymnasium.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of this college is a refreshing one with adjacent fields, lake, and playing fields of 100+ acres. The campus has many clubs for students with particular interest namely Tech Club, Photography club etc. The fest is named as ' Kristitarang ' which enrich the students each year with never seen before events. The fest offers a few joyous days and nights with live performing artists and bands. It also offers many other activities like Tech fest, Annual sports, Entertaining quizzes, etc.

It is roughly 10 km away from the Malda town railway station and the method of transportation is available through local autos.     This college is not the best option for your career. If you have scored average marks which can let you go for this college, please opt for other government colleges or any private colleges.     I got a seat in this college through CSAB counselling. I chose this college because the branch that I was interested in (Food technology) was provided in here and moreover, it was not very far from my State so it was convenient for me. I was an applicant of 2020 batch and unfortunately two years of my college was done online.
