Real story of NIT Durgapur

Overall Rating
The overall review of Durgapur is not quite good although it has some good points like good study environment good classroom environment. What I expect from this level of NIRF ranking college is not good, its hostel facility for higher semester is very bad, and sports facilities are very bad. It has very bad zone culture where ragging is also practiced.
 

Academics Rating
The academic review is good lot of courses are designed in very good manner for each grade of students, the open elective courses are also there from 4 semester so that students can study according to their own choice. Lot of study material is present in library and any students can access those books and material.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty review is, like in my word different for different person, like if you love to study only give lot of time for study and do not involve in any other things the. You can say the faculty is good because they don't give marks. But if you are involved in other activities like sports and all then faculty is bad because they don't co-operate any things.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have separate Placement Cell in our college. They work quite well for the students.
 

Hostel Rating
If you are in first and second year, then hostel is very good but in third- and fourth-year hostel are very bad. And the most disgusting thing is that every year you have to share room with 2 other this thing is very bad for the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the college is good like you can get fully air conditioning building for study, fully air conditioning library, good auditorium and students activities centre even medical unit is quite good. But the hostel facility is very bad. Lab for the core branches like Electrical and Mechanical are in very bad condition, fans are not properly placed there.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life for this college is very good you get full exposure to do anything you want. In this college large no of club there like dance, coding, music, robotics, entrepreneur, literature etc they work quite well in their field. College conduct two major fest one AAROHAN (eastern India's second largest techno management fest) conducted in March and other is Recstasy cultural fest conducted in April.

    NIT Durgapur is located in the city of steel plants of West Bengal that is Durgapur. It has a well-maintained green campus with pine trees and different diversity of flora and fauna.   • How I Felt at NIT Durgapur
     

    Overall Rating
    Firstly, NIT Durgapur is one of the prestigious colleges of India. Courses like CSE, Electrical, Electronic and Communication, Metallurgy and many more branches are there. For taking admission in this college, one should have to clear the JEE main examination with good rank. And also, in 12th 75+ percentages required for taking admission in this college.     The NIT is situated in not very distant part of the city, but it will seem like it because the college is spread over 187 acres. I have been on campus for more than 1.5 years and there are still some places that I haven't visited in the campus, well that another topic. The overall college is more than 7.2/10.     I would rate this institute 4 out of 5. As the institute has a good infrastructure, good research culture and a better campus life than most of the colleges. There are several facilities are offered by the colleges, later on I have mentioned it. But talking about the placement I think there are some NITs which provide better placement record than it at the same level.   • Nit durgapur is a good campus and hostel facility

    I knew that the biotechnology department is very good in NIT Durgapur, so I wanted to choose NIT Durgapur. In this college hostel facility are also good. Placement are great in this college and a lot of companies and organization visit for campus placement. There are 14 hostels, 10 for boys and 4 for girls. Hostels are very good in this Institute....
