College for middle class family students, BITS Deoghar

Overall Rating
BITS Deoghar is a part of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra which was established in 2007. The cutoff for CSE branch is 90 percentiles. The students get the degree from BIT Mesra. The placements are average to good. The infrastructure is small and less maintained. The campus is situated in Deoghar city.
 

Academics Rating
The academics of the college is good and at par with BIT Mesra. The teachers are knowledgeable and have good grip over subjects they teach. The campus has laboratories and computer labs to promote practical knowledge. The academic curriculum consists of projects based on industrial requirements and market scenario.
 

Faculty Rating
The facilities are knowledgeable. Some of the facilities are from BIT Mesra and are graduates from top colleges in the world. The style of teaching is good and practical explanations are given to demonstrate the depth of the subjects. The facilities promote projects to enhance student’s knowledge in the subject.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are above average. The packages lie in the range of 6-10 LPA. Companies like Digi Insurance and CGI visit the Deoghar campus. Some companies from BIT Mesra also visit the campus. The placements are 65-75% with average and above average packages.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are good and quite decent. The bathrooms are cleaned every morning and pest control is done quite frequently. The hostel rooms are three beds and single bed also. Any student from other city or state can opt for hostel. Mess food is served to every student which is average in taste.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average, and the college is very small. The buildings are old and not very well maintained. But nowadays construction is going on to improve the infrastructure of the college. The labs are also equipped with latest technologies and Wi-Fi is also getting set up for the students benefit.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life lies between average to good. Annual fests are organised in the college. Various clubs and societies conduct their events throughout the academic session. Any student can become the member of any club and can contribute respectively. The crowd is diverse and there is no language barrier.

    It is a good college with decent professors and average placement record. The teachers are highly qualified and hostels are good. The mess food and the canteen food are both average.
