The University is good in my personal opinion. It provides many branches which you can choose for studies. Most of the faculty here is very understanding and if you come across any problem then there exists a clear hierarchy of management which you can take your problem to. I have personally seen very strict anti-ragging measures been taken by the management. Also, this university encourages students to take part in different events like hackathons and write research paper or make good projects from the very beginning of the course.

The academic syllabus here seems relatively easy or less when I compared it with the syllabus of other universities in which my friends are studying. Also, the difficulty level of exams is a bit less which is a good thing because we get more time to focus on improving many other skills required alongside core subjects. During 2nd semester we have to write a research paper or make a project. The only thing which concerns me is that there exists no limit of intake of students here. Here is too much crowd and sometimes feels like the university itself can't handle this many students. This makes the competition around us harder. In my batch there are over 4500 students in general CSE and around 7000 students with specialization branches included which is too much.

Most of the faculty here is very understanding and feel like they know their subject very well. Most of them use presentation slides to make us understand better through videos and graphics. One good thing is that we have a lecture plan for every semester, and it is already decided that what is to be taught in every lecture and the faculty needs to teach that in the same lecture so the teacher can't just laze around in the class and do time pass.

Well, we have a Training Placement Program which is conducted by the DCPD (Department of Career Planning and Development) during the 3rd year. It has some strict criteria’s like having 90% attendance is a must and reducing the leaves to only 5 lectures per semester. The entire department is focused on improving our soft skills (communication skills and all) and helps us do better in placements. We also need to do many interviews and all to boost our confidences for the real thing. I would say that yes, this department does its job very well. Also, the placements are good; it's just that there is too much competition because of huge crowd.

The hostels here are good. The food here is okay and eatable not like some other universities where you can't even chew the food. One good thing is the hostels remain very clean. Cleaners will come to your room every day to clean your room and also you can drop a message in the Whatsapp group to call for a cleaner or any other problem like having any electrical problem. There are many shops from which you can buy groceries and eat at restaurant like food which are not overpriced at all. Also, we get Ethernet ports beside every bed, and it provides up to 800 mbps connection which is very fast.

Infrastructure is somewhere between good and great, definitely not the best you will find in other top tier universities. The classes have no air-conditioner installed so it becomes very hot during summers. But the management is saying that AC's will be installed next year in every class so that is a good thing. Also, every class has projectors installed and most of the classes have Wi-Fi in them. One thing which I can say for sure is that infrastructure is improving at a fast rate.

Campus life is also good. The university hosts many events, fests, coding events etc. Also, we get to play Holi in playgrounds which makes much fun. Also, they have strict anti-ragging measures, and the faculty also understands. We have a website called CUIMS where we can access all the information about our academics like the attendance, exam marks, profile, apply leave etc. This all helps to improve campus life here.
