I got 90%+ in 10+2, so the university has given a scholarship of 50% with a total expenditure of 2 lakh with hostel expenses and academics in the year of 2022. It was affordable and I believed that I could score more than 7.5 CGPA and it provides good placements in CSE as it is booming in 2019-2021.

To get eligibility to Chandigarh University, they should get at least 70% marks in the 10+12 and you need to write the college exam called CUCET so that you can get the scholarship for only first year. To maintain the scholarship, you need to have at least 7.5 CGPA so that scholarship will continue. And there are also attendance criteria where you need to maintain the attendance above 75% so that you are able to write exams or else you will give the chance in the same year to write the exams by paying extra fee and they will conduct classes for them also, you need to maintain at least 75%. Most probably the grading system of Chandigarh University will be in favor of average and below average students so that they can easily pass. And I have seen a problem that some students have got the wrong marks i.e., less marks and the collage is also trying their best to recheck their marks.

In the very first year, I have observed that teachers are very caring for the students and motivate them to ask doubts. And that is our responsible to go to the teachers. If we go to then they will say for absolutely. And in this university the internal marks will play the main role. In this the teacher will try to give good marks but there will be some psycho teachers who will reduce their marks for unwanted reasons as this was happened to two of my friends which one has gone his scholarship due to one teacher.

In this university, you need to be very cautious to the hostel. You need to give your fees paying priority to hostel more than semester fees. As there are huge students with very less hostels you need to pay in time. If you failed in that you will be deadlocked from the hostel, and you cannot go the hostel again until unless if you have appropriate health reasons like allergies. And the hostel will be all combined of all branches, Juniors and seniors as it is ragging free campus. And you will be given 1 table and chair, and almirah. The bath will not be attached for the four and five-seater. I personally suggest going for 3-seater of 5-seater. And 3-seater for B.E., CSE will be far (3km) from college block. So, I personally prefer 5-seater.

There will be four block sets i.e. A, B, C, and D where the structure of blocks will be good in order of D, A, B, and C. Every block(almost) will be having library, seminar hall, auditorium. And there is a fountain park which is the center of university and almost every type of shops are available near i.e., food, stationary etc. And the bad part is you cannot use the internet of mobile but if you make a call to others, you will get it. But to use mobile in class may suffer some problems when you caught by some HOD or others. But from the second year you will be provided with Wi-Fi in every class for the usage of laptops.

You will be having only limited of classes so that you can enjoy in the college with friends. As the college is only for 5 days a week you can also plan a trip near Chandigarh as it is center to all the places like Amritsar, Delhi, Jammu, Shimla, etc. The university is much crowded. And I personally like most is the freshers party and Holi celebration. And there are lots of clubs which are even linked with the government of India like IEEE etc. If you are interested in participating in activities, you can easily and freely participate.
