LPU College Review

Overall Rating
I am quite disappointed with LPU. The faculty in LPU is not good. They are only reading PPTs. I am also disappointed with hostels they are taking a huge sum of amount which is 90000 and the rooms are not nice. You can enjoy your life in LPU as you can go for outing any time here just you have to apply for leave in your phone which takes hardly 2 minutes.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing my B.Tech in CSE in Lovely Professional University, Phagwara. I have taken CSE. I am in my second year. My motive for enrolling into this program is placements. I have heard that in LPU almost each student gets placed. To join in LPU, you don't require any IIT, but you have to pass the test conducted by LPU. Based on the range of score, you can get scholarship.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty which I have observed is not good. They are reading only PPTs. They will not explain anything outside from PPTs. Almost all faculties are young as they have about 2 to 3 years of experience, some of the faculty stay in hostels that are provided by college. Overall, there are no senior faculties except 5-6 teachers. I think in LPU almost 5000 faculties are there.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, here the only good sign is placements. Here almost all top companies visit the campus. Almost all students get placed. The placements are great for some and worst for some, only top 30% gets good packages while the remaining gets low packages.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have a residential facility at our college. We have AC and Non-AC rooms with cooler. We have 3-seater, 4-seater, 5 and 6-seater rooms. But almost 50% students stay outside the campus due to heavy price of Rs 120000 for 3-seater AC that too without mess facility.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have 2 libraries. One of them is Central Library which is very big. It functions from morning 8 till night 11. We have almost all academic books in our library. In library we also have computers to use. We can read as much as we can, if you want to take book to your hostel or home, you have to register the book, but you have to return it in 7 days or else per day 10 rupees fine is there.
 

Campus Rating
The life in LPU is good. There is no study pressure, class works only 5 hours max a day and Saturday and Sunday are holidays. The crowd in LPU is huge. In first year of CSE only we have 39 sections, each contains 72 students. We have almost all sports like cricket, football, basketball tennis, and table tennis. We also have baseball, shooting and we have 3 swimming pools which are very big, you have pay 4000 rupees for each sport.

    Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar is a preset university known by people and students all over India. It is ranked at the 10th position all over Asia. it is known for its undying prestige, helpful faculty, creative learning, cultural events, social and cultural diversity and much more.     My experience at Lovely Professional University is good taking all the parameters in attention. The university is very huge in size and we can see that it is eco friendly as there are many plants everywhere. The faculty members are also very good in providing and delivering the concepts that we need.
