Insight of my college through my eyes

Overall Rating
My college is overall a good place for engineering students, apart from a few things which pissed me off such as inadequate infrastructure, unresponsive management, etc. The location of my college is amazing alongside the scenes and views. I chose this college solely due to its placements record in the past few years.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission into B.Tech. course, one needs to qualify JEE Main examination. Eligibility for this course is 75% or above in the 12th board examination. The course fee for each semester is around Rs 75000 for general students. The main motive for joining this course is achieving excellence in the field of science and technology and getting a good package afterward.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are overall average. Almost all the teachers have Ph.D. degrees. Some professors are really good, while others are not able to explain a topic properly. Most of the subjects are taught by T.A. instead of professors themselves. Some of the faculties that I have interacted with were humble and outspoken.
 

Placement Rating
Our institute does have a Placement Cell. Placements are the main highlight of this college. Our TPO is quite supportive and competitive. Coding competitions are arranged frequently in order to develop and test skills. The average package of last year stood at 10 LPA and the highest was 47 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is below average and lacks maintenance. The hostel has its own playground area for functions, sports, etc. Infrastructure is very bad and there is wreckage everywhere. Mess food is just the worst and I have never liked the mess food at all.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Apart from the main administrative building, the infrastructure is old and weak. There is a Central Library which houses a lot of good books. Classrooms are quite basic but have projectors and other devices. During the monsoon, there is always flood almost everywhere around the campus. Overall infrastructure of the campus is average.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is quite good. Fests such as ‘Ougri’ and ‘Techfest’ are fun to go to. We students participate in different sports activities from indoor games like chess to outdoor games like cricket and football. There are several coding clubs and dance clubs made by students. They organize their own competitions every year.

    I chose this college because it's an NIT, as a NITian. We have our benefits in terms of placements, etc. NIT Manipur is at 95th position in NIRF ranking. The placements are also quiet decent which is why I chose this college. If you want to join in north west part of India this is the good college.... Read Full Review

Alumni achievements, high employment rates, and strong industry connections to all quality of education and support provided.     I am the first PwD (Person with Disabilities) student at NIT Manipur. The placements at NIT Manipur are good and the faculty is also very supportive. Being a PwD student I find the infrastructure not so good and I hope that in future it will be solved. I chose NIT because of the placements it offers. The jump in the NIRF ranking from 108 to 95 has been incredible. I am very happy to come here.... Read Full Review

    My experience at NIT Manipur is well going and I am enjoying this place since it is surrounded by nature beauty from all sides. Administration and academics is very strict here. Since my JEE rank is around 38,000 so I got ECE branch here by CSAB counseling. Here placements are going well on-campus and off-campus and currently this year (2022-2023) about 149/170 students were placed.
