NIT Durgapur Review

Overall Rating
Hey! Here my college is National Institute of Technology which is situated in West Bengal in Durgapur City. Our college is all about open atmosphere, but some restrictions are there for 1st year undergraduate students, but rest all is good. One thing about faculty is that some Faculties are very strict like in Civil Department, professors are strict and in mechanical too.
 

Academics Rating
In our college, academics in nice but there is some pressure to the students. You will be having a weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. Some professors are very good in delivering content. Teaching process is very good. There is a smart class for every department. But the college only provides opportunities.
 

Faculty Rating
In our college, some faculties are very strict, and some are very friendly. But you have to manage how to deal with your professors. You have to maintain decorum to the professors. 90% professors use digital devices to teach and deliver the content. Yes, they also use presentation techniques for better understanding. At last, I want to say professors are our guardians so we should respect them.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, placements are very good in our college. Average CTC is approximately 15 LPA and in case of CSE Department, the average CTC is 22 LPA. The highest is 77 LPA. 85% total students were placed in 2023 batch.
 

Hostel Rating
Hall 11 is for first year students which are very good. It has lifts, water cooler and many facilities. Hall 14 Is for Second Year and same facility is there also.
Here, I am only talking About Boys Hostel (Hall 10, 13: - Girl's hostel is also best).
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of our new academic building, where we are having our class is very good. The infrastructure of labs is average, and hostels are also well-built but halls 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are average while rest all is very good. Rooms are also nice. If we see individually then I can say that Civil, and Mechanical Department lab is not so good, but CSE lab is very nice.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good. But for the first-year students, there are some restrictions due to ragging issue. In our college, restaurant, canteens and saloons are available. Gym facility is also available, but it is very crowded. Environment of our college is good. It also has a playground.

    Firstly, NIT Durgapur is one of the prestigious colleges of India. Courses like CSE, Electrical, Electronic and Communication, Metallurgy and many more branches are there. For taking admission in this college, one should have to clear the JEE main examination with good rank. And also, in 12th 75+ percentages required for taking admission in this college.     Overall Rating
    The NIT is situated in not very distant part of the city, but it will seem like it because the college is spread over 187 acres. I have been on campus for more than 1.5 years and there are still some places that I haven't visited in the campus, well that another topic. The overall college is more than 7.2/10.     I would rate this institute 4 out of 5. As the institute has a good infrastructure, good research culture and a better campus life than most of the colleges. There are several facilities are offered by the colleges, later on I have mentioned it. But talking about the placement I think there are some NITs which provide better placement record than it at the same level.   • Nit durgapur is a good campus and hostel facility

    I knew that the biotechnology department is very good in NIT Durgapur, so I wanted to choose NIT Durgapur. In this college hostel facility are also good. Placement are great in this college and a lot of companies and organization visit for campus placement. There are 14 hostels, 10 for boys and 4 for girls. Hostels are very good in this Institute....
