About life in Chandigarh University

Overall Rating
I chose this university because of its good NIRF ranking in private colleges of India. It is much better than any other private college. When I joined this university, the ranking of the college was near 70th but at present time it is below 40, that is good thing. And the next thing is that the campus is very beautiful and huge which is the reason why I chose this.
 

Academics Rating
Every course has its own criteria but in Engineering, the criteria are minimum 50% in 12th. I chose Computer Science branch because it is far better than other branches in the University. The placement percentage is good compared to other branches in the college. There are specilisation courses as well in this college.
 

Faculty Rating
There are sufficient numbers of faculties in this university, but quality of good teacher is very limited. Every subject has its own teacher; teacher is same for theory and lab of same subject. Teachers are hired on the basis of their qualification in study and experience. A teacher teaches on the basis of course provided to them so learning is very limited. There is nothing unique about their teaching style.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is Placement Cell. They are responsible for the visit of companies in the college. They inform us about the companies when these companies visit campus.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are hostels but most of the students don't prefer these hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the college is quite simple and nice. The campus is about 200 acres and there are many academic blocks like A1, A2, A3, B1, etc. Each academic building has its own library. Every building has 7 to 9 floors which have a lift, but it can only be used by teachers. The university is making more and more building as the year is passing because of increase in student intake by the management.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is minimalistic. As it is a private institute most of the teachers and faculties are quite young. So there is less generational gap between teachers and students. The campus at first seems very large, and travelling between academic buildings seemed a problem but after getting used to the campus life, it is not hectic at all.

    My experience at Chandigarh University is wonderful and memorable. It focuses more on practical and that doesn't mean it avoid theory, it balance the theory and practical. For a Law student, it's necessary that there is practical exposure with theoretical knowledge. One of the main reasons that made me to opt for this university is great infrastructure, faculty members are quite seasoned, and the course is quite tailored to fit the contemporary demands for the legal industry.     I chose Chandigarh University because of the reputation it holds. The campus is really huge, and infrastructure is top notch. Each and every facility is available in the campus. As a law student, the law building is well equipped with big library and a good moot court which gives a vibe of a real court. Curriculum is designed in a really good way. Overall University is good.     Here, campus life is too good for students. They organize many events for the students’ development. There is a balance between studies and co-curricular activities. Clarity of concepts is given by the faculties by which they stand out from others. Also, the teachers have a good teaching experience.
