Manipal Institute of technology is a diverse college, people across different countries opt to study here. College provides best resources to encourage every student. Manipal is ranked 45 in NIRF, 20 in Outlook India, 28 in The Week and 21 in India Today. To join Manipal, one can attend the exam conducted by the college that is MET and can also attend the Department test or can give National entrance exam and according to the score secured you will be short listed. Manipal has research collaborations with many institutes and laboratories in India and abroad.

Manipal also encourage and provide every facility in research aspects. MIT Manipal encourages start ups and encourages every student's initiative. Studying in MIT Manipal helps student to gain knowledge not only in studies but also teaches one how to manage and be independent and face all circumstances in life. MIT Manipal have many technical and cultural clubs where in students are provided with multiple options to explore everything and find what they are very much interested in, the college is very supportive and help every student in any way possible and above all this college never stress on its students and take immediate action on any problem occurred.

The course I joined is Media Technology. I joined by writing the exam college conducted that is MIE and choose media technology as my course, the course can be choose according to the rank that you get after the exam. The reason why I choose this course is because I wanted to study something different and I have interest in learning animation, design, film production. Apart from the media subjects the course also provide education on print industry that is about Offset printing, Gravure printing, Screen Printing, Flexography Printing. The course subjects provide complete details and knowledge to succeed in that field. They take students to the industry so that it helps to gain better understanding in the subject.

Our teachers also encourage all students in other activates and also help students to know what they are interested in and encourage them to learn and succeed in it. There are many job opportunities provided by this course, and our teachers will give complete help and support in helping us to do our best in our studies and support us if we face any problems related to our project, studies or internship process. I feel very happy taking up this course where I learn something different.

We have 11 main faculty members for our course and about 628 academic staff. Most of the faculty are having more than 10 years of teaching experience in this college. My teachers are very well qualified and teach all my subjects giving practical examples and put all efforts to teach their best.

Manipal provide good training facilities to students according to their profile preferences. On an average over 250 recruiting teams visit MIT Manipal. Over 300 and above students get internship offers and many gets converted to full time job later on.

There are around 26 Hostel buildings that can accommodate around 7258 students, 70% boys and 30% girls. The hostel allotment in the first year is based on the first come first serve basis and in the further years the allotment can be choose basted on the academic performance of the student. There are mess facilities provided near many hostels, night canteens, and 2 big food courts, they provide very good and healthy food.

Hostels follow particular timing to when the students should return back to the hostels based on the year they are studying and the main gate perm is till 10pm. Security facilities are very good and they react very fast to all emergencies.

The campus is about 188 acres, it has 10 academic buildings, 22 residential buildings, messes, 2 big food courts, student plaza, football ground, basket ball court, swimming pool, volleyball court, badminton courts, stores. The campus provides everything needed to the students and is also a good friendly environment. In case of any medical emergencies care is taken immediately and provides needed support.

Overall the campus life is really good where one gets to experience about different things and learn be independence. This campus provides so much knowledge in all aspects of life. College also has many clubs that help an individual to explore him/her self and help one grow, learn and interact with one another. Fests are the best part where everyone enjoys their college life completely.
