IIT, Patna Review

Overall Rating
IIT Patna is a very reputed institute for Engineering courses in India and I am blessed that I got an opportunity to pursue my B.Tech from here. The college has a great environment for coding and study. Everyone is supportive in nature. The faculties are magnificent and their experiences are a great learning here. The campus is lush green with high quality infrastructure like library, sports facility, labs, etc.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility to take admission here is first clearing the JEE Main and then getting a rank under 3,000 in JEE Advanced to get a seat in CSE. The course is of 4 years in which you will be trained on latest technologies of Computer Science. The main focus is to make the students comfortable with the coding culture and other industry requirements. My motive of joining here is to get high packages in top MNCs like Google and get a settled career.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The professors are PhD holders from prestigious colleges. Professors are very supportive and are up for help at any moment. The classes are very interactive and there is always a two way interaction during the lectures. Apart from regular lectures, a doubt session is conducted every week in case students have any doubt.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell available in the campus and they do a magnificent work by bringing a lot of companies to the campus. 100% students were placed in the year 2022 in tech giants like Google, Amazon, Infosys, IBM, etc. The average package for CSE was 35 LPA and the highest package was 1.37 CPA. Internship opportunities are also available from the 2nd year only.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is top notch and it is being improved from time to time. The campus is lush green. New buildings, hostels, and libraries are being built. The college provides all the facilities like library, gym, sports amenities, dance and music classes, etc. The computer labs are equipped with latest processors and PCs. There are food outlets other than mess inside the campus which are chargeable.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is amazing and feels like home here. The environment is student friendly. Fests are organized frequently to entertain the students and make them stress free from their daily hectic lifestyle. The workload is no doubt more but the kind of package provided by the companies here deserves a lot of effort. The coding clubs are very active such as Android Hive, Hash Club, etc. Sports tournaments are also organized once every year.

    My experience of IIT Patna has been great so far. Here we get world class faculties and infrastructures, most importantly the IIT community, i.e. being around the best minds of the nation. For my JEE advanced rank this was the college I was getting Computer Science in, so I took this college for my studies.     Firstly, talking about academics, yes, here at IIT Patna academics is tough. Academic curriculum is designed such that an average IITian can cope up with it. Professors are very good, helpful and highly qualified and have gone through a very rigorous selection process for being a faculty here. College life is pretty good.
