If you are looking for a mid-tier college with a proper educational structure, great college life, and most importantly a good placement record then this is the best college for you. Techno International New Town (TINT) can be a very good choice. This college is affiliated with AICTE and is under MAKAUT University. I personally graduated from this college in Electrical Engineering. Most of my friends both from my department and other departments got placed in reputed companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, LTI, TCS, etc. As the college shares its campus with SNU, you might find the size of the campus a little small but it still offers a great campus experience.

This college has most of the famous engineering branches along with BCA, MCA, etc. It has all the required labs for all departments. The quality of the labs is also very good. It totally follows the AICTE curriculum. However, for every semester the syllabus of every subject may not get completed but all the important topics are covered. They do provide notes for every exam as well. If you even study a little you can pass the exams easily.

This college has plenty numbers of faculties for every department. You will never run out of teachers for any subject. Most of them are very friendly yet very professional. If you need any kind of help you can text them anytime. You may find the non-teaching stuff a little difficult to work with. Eventually, your work will be done but it may take time.

Our college has one of the very active placement cells. Honestly, they work very hard toward students' placements. They start training classes from the very 1st year. If you attend all the training classes sincerely, by the time of your placement, including each and every factor like interview skills, spoken English, basic to advanced coding, etc. will get covered very well. Although in terms of placement, they mostly focus on IT-based companies. It's not like core companies don't visit our college but the numbers are still small. From this college getting into an IT-based company is very easy regardless of the branch you have.

Yes, this college does have hostel facility available. Although the hostel is not inside the campus but it is just 15 minutes away by bus. The quality of the hostel is average. The quality of food is medium to poor. Somehow it's better to stay in a PG nearby. But in the hostel you get to get a lot of friends. You will have your batch mates living with you and it is definitely a plus point.

The campus size of this college is not very big. Although most of the college campuses in Kolkata are similar in size. It shares its campus with another college (SNU). It has five floors and plenty of rooms for classes, labs, and other stuff. Although it does have elevator facilities but they are mostly used by faculties. It has plenty of labs for each department. It does have a canteen inside the campus and some small stalls outside. It does have a basketball court. Overall the college infrastructure is very good in spite the campus size being a bit small.

The campus life of this college is one of the best in Kolkata. It does have all the clubs like drama club, coding club, etc. They do organize freshers, farewell, and a yearly fest. Lots of hackathons and technical fests also take place in this college. You will get plenty of chances for your cultural appearances. Overall it will be an experience worth cherishing forever.
