Review for NIT, Kurukshetra

Overall Rating
I chose this college because it has its own brand value. Top companies visit every year. Tremendous college and hostel life is here. Quality of students is also very good here. The faculties are top-notch. The girls to boys’ ratio is also good compared to other NITs. The placements are amazing here. There are many clubs and societies in the college.
 

Academics Rating
The updated curriculum is very good. The professors are very experienced here. It has Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Production, and Industrial branches but from 2023 it has included 3 more branches that are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Mathematics and Computing, and Industrial IOT.
 

Faculty Rating
The facilities are highly qualified in their respective fields. They are very knowledgeable and always help students in every aspect. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 which is quite good. 3 exams are conducted every semester and exams are from moderate to difficult level. You will never face any difficulty in your studying if you follow the faculties diligently.
 

Placement Rating
Yes there is a placement cell. The placement drives start from the mid of the 6th semester with a lot of tech giants coming to campus like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, L & T, and many more with lucrative packages, but you have to study for placement. The highest package was 1.2 CPA from the Electrical Department and the average was 14 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes hostel facilities are provided and the buildings of the hostels are newly built and good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College has all necessary infrastructure facilities. AC Classrooms and well ventilated Laboratories with all the necessary equipment are present. College was established in the year 1963 as a Regional Engineering College but later in 2002 it got the tag of NIT. Since the college is quite old so the buildings are not that modern and the same with the hostels. Although new blocks for hostels have been built recently.
 

Campus Rating
It is spread around 359 acres of lush green campus. The annual fest is organised every year in March and celebrities come to perform. The library has over 12,000 books and international journals and you can borrow them for any period of time you want. Sports facilities are also decent. Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, etc. grounds are there. Coding clubs are very active here and seniors also help newcomers in every aspect.

    My thoughts regarding this college are very clear. This is the best college in Haryana. The greenery is awesome. This college provides us lot of opportunities and they did many fests. I really enjoyed so much in the fests. The seniors and the faculty members are really very good. Their behavior is very nice. The teaching style of some teachers is really good.   • Life in NIT Kurukshetra

    In starting I don't like the college much because there is no event, no fresher’s party, etc. But after 20 days almost every day something is happening. Sometimes I miss some events happening in college. I choose this college because this is in my state, and I got computer science in reputed NIT. Others should take look in this college because there is no ragging and mess food is decent and seniors are very supporting. According to me this college is 9/10 not 10/10 as we can't allow to go outs... Read Full Review

    National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra is a really great college. The college has a great campus with over 290 acres of area. The college is full of greenery and the infrastructure if quite good. The classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The college has its own lake inside the campus.
