RVR and JC College of Engineering B.Tech Review By Mounika Buradagunta

When I was in my intermediate course one of my faculty discussed about RVR and JC College of Engineering in reference to his son as he gave EAMCET and came to this college. This incident made me think about this college and then I also gave EAMCET and joined RVR and JC College of Engineering. It is one of the top colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

My course is B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) and now they have included many sub-branches in CSE like IOT, ML, AI, etc. which helps to study the subject in detail. To get top branches in this college you need to secure less than 5,000 rank in EAMCET and you can apply during counseling. CSE, IT, ECE, etc. are the top branches here because of the chances of securing placements through these branches are very high.

Since my course is Electronics and Communications Engineering there are many teachers who are working for more than 15years and have knowledge of all subjects related to 4 years of B.Tech. Every branch has faculty related to that particular branch and their style of teaching is based on their branch. They work very hard for students like us to give their best.

We do have a placement cell at the ground floor of our block and the placement officer maintains all the things regarding the placements like mails, interviews, selected mails, and many more. If there are any doubts regarding the placements you can contact the placement officer and you can clarify your doubts freely as he is very supportive. The highest package has been about 50LPA and the average package has been 5 – 7 LPA.

In front of the college there is boys’ hostel and in SVN colony there is girls’ hostel. Bus facilities are available for the girls to reach to the college. Boys’ and girls’ hostels are not at the same place for security reasons and college itself provides the facilities. You can enjoy mess as well but first you have to pay the mess fees. But if you want to stay in the other private hostels then you can opt for that as well. One thing to remember is that if you wish to join the hostel then you have to join from the first year itself as no change in the mid-session is done.

One of the things I like in this college is the infrastructure. There are separate academic blocks for CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, MBA, MCA, and many other courses. All these blocks are interconnected and you can go from one block to the other block and all the facilities are provided like water, waiting halls for women, and many more.

We have a big cricket ground in front of our college, a big sports auditorium, cultural auditorium, an open air theatre for college fests, NCC, NSS, and to maintain all these there is a cultural head and you can contact him if you have doubts regarding cultural events. There is a huge library (3 floors) to study. Campus life will be best if you don't make bad friendships and focus on your career for 4 years. So focus on placements along with your core branch semesters and enhance your skills. You will receive best from the college and you will do justice for yourself as well through studying in such a wonderful college.
